Actress and former fashion model Andie MacDowell is one of the most famous stars to have graced the Hallmark Channel in recent years.
The star, 68, made her name in the 1980s and 1990s. She appeared in the coming-of-age movie “St. Elmo’s Fire” and the rom-coms “Four Weddings and a Funeral” and “Groundhog Day.”
More recently, she played Delilah “Del” Watson Landry in Hallmark’s fantasy drama television series “The Way Home.”
Her most recent marriage was to businessman Rhett Hartzog. The couple wed in 2001, but divorced in 2004.
Before that, however, she was married to Paul Qualley. But who is Paul Qualley?
Paul Qualley Is a Former Fashion Model
Per People, Paul Qualley is a former fashion model who met Andie MacDowell in the 1980s while they were both on a modeling job for Gap.
They were married in 1986 and lived on a ranch in Montana while MacDowell’s acting career was beginning to take off. When she turned 40, in 1998, the couple moved their family to South Carolina, where the actress’ sister lived. It would be the beginning of the end for their relationship.
About the move, MacDowell told The Age in 2002, “I decided I didn’t want to grow older in the middle of nowhere among people who weren’t my family.”
They divorced in 1999 after 13 years of marriage.
The couple had three children together. They are two daughters, “The Substance” star Margaret Qualley and fellow actress Rainey Qualley, and a son, Justin Qualley.
