No dad bods here! Two of the hunky contestants from season two of Hallmark’s hit reality competition “Finding Mr. Christmas” both announced on May 28, 2026, that they’re new dads — and they welcomed their babies on the same day!
HallmarkIn an Instagram post, Angel Garet and his wife, Mary Cameron Rogers, revealed they’re first-time parents to daughter River Lynn Garet, born on May 21. Meanwhile, Gabriel Thaxton and his wife, Andrea Thaxton, announced the May 21 arrival of their second baby, son Joah.
Garet and Thaxton were among 10 aspiring actors who competed on season 2 of “Finding Mr. Christmas,” created and hosted by Hallmark fan-favorite Jonathan Bennett to find the next Hallmark hunk. The series premiered in late October, with weekly challenges and celebrity judges to whittle down the competition to one winner, Craig Geoghan, who went on to appear in the 2025 holiday movie “A Make or Break Christmas” with Hunter King and Evan Roderick.
Angel Garet’s Wife Says Her ‘Finding Mr. Christmas’ Hubby Helped Deliver Their Daughter
Angel, a model and actor from Charlotte, North Carolina, placed in the Top 3 of “Finding Mr. Christmas.” His wife announced they were expecting on January 27 in a joint Instagram post, writing that “Angel and I have always dreamed of having a family, patiently waiting for this gift to arrive naturally.”
Mary shared a video of the sweet moment she and her hunky hubby learned the news. After secretly taking a pregnancy test in a restaurant bathroom during dinner, she and Garet walked to the beach for dessert, and she pulled out the test to see the positive result — and then showed him. The couple adorably crumpled into tears and laughter.
Announcing little River’s birth, Mary wrote on Instagram, “My heart is forever exploding. She’s pure magic and there are absolutely no words to describe this kind of love. Simply another level of a miracle. Angel helped deliver our sweet baby girl, and the entire experience forever changed my heart in the most beautiful way.”
Before their baby was born, Angel posted a touching Mother’s Day tribute, writing, “For the past 9 months, I’ve watched you love and nurture our baby girl with so much care, intention, and strength. I’ve seen the sacrifices you’ve made, the discipline you’ve carried, and the endless hours you’ve spent learning everything possible to give her the healthiest and most beautiful beginning in life.”
Gabriel Thaxton’s Wife Says Their Son’s Birth Was ‘Magical’
The Thaxtons, meanwhile, already have experience as parents to daughter Jori, who turned one in early February. Gabriel, a model who grew up in Wyoming but now lives in Los Angeles, and his wife, Andrea, shared that they were expecting another bundle of joy in late November, on the same night his elimination from the “Finding Mr. Christmas” house aired.
Captioning a photo of their little girl in a stroller and a series of sonogram pics of their baby on the way, she wrote, “Jori approved and coming soon. 🫶🏽 can’t wait to meet our May baby. @gabrielthaxton and I are knee deep in ‘the good old days’ and we know it.”
On May 28, she posted a beautiful family pic with their newborn and wrote, “Baby Joah is here. 💙 This past week has been transformational for our little family. Our son came into the world on May 21st at 10:58pm in our home. 9lbs of pure goodness.”
“His entrance was magical and we are excited to share more about our experience in the days to come,” Andrea continued. “Right now we are soaking in all the moments and enjoying this little newborn bubble. So. Much. Love.”
No word yet on whether Angel and Gabriel will be throwing joint birthday parties for their little ones from here on out!
