As the 2025 Hallmark Christmas Experience winds down in Kansas City, with the last of four festive days taking place from December 19 – 21, we’re revisiting some of our favorite moments with Hallmark’s stars and fans, including the absolute funniest videos.
EntertainmentNow was on-site during the first weekend, when 11 of the network’s top stars were on hand to participate in panel discussions, hilarious games, and fan photo ops. Fans got to meet and see Tyler Hynes, Andrew Walker, Paul Campbell, Kimberley Sustad, B.J. Britt, Jonathan Bennett, Jessy Schram, Rhiannon Fish, Robert Buckley, Taylor Cole, and Benjamin Ayres — and all weekend long, they kept the crowd in stitches. Robert Buckley Dances the Night Away at the Hallmark Christmas Experience
“Merry Christmas Ted Cooper” star Robert Buckley had the crowd doubled-over in laughter many times throughout the weekend, but his most adorably funny moment was when his co-star, Kimberley Sustad, got him to show the audience his dance moves. Jennifer Hudson’s “JOY” — the theme of Countdown to Christmas 2024 — began blasting over the sound system and the Hallmark hunk couldn’t help but bust a move!
Jonathan Bennett Gets Exasperated as the Angel Gabriel in Hallmark’s Christmas Story
One night, when inclement weather necessitated the cancellation of outdoor activities, including the popular tree lightings, the Hallmark Christmas Experience crew quickly regrouped and staged an indoor show complete with a live band and a hilariously chaotic improv skit. All of the stars gathered onstage to act out a retelling of the Christmas story that Kimberley Sustad and Paul Campbell wrote, with funny challenges thrown in, like requiring them to use Shakespearean language at one point.
Jonathan Bennett took on the role of the angel Gabriel, but had no idea how much he’d be called upon. When he was called to the stage — or manger — yet again, he had the crowd in stitches with his exasperated delivery!
In another hilarious scene from the improv sketch, Rhiannon Fish volunteered to be the baby Jesus. Tyler Hynes and Jonathan Bennett wrapped her up in “swaddling clothes” and then lifted her up — holding her in place like a human manger — with B.J. Britt and Andrew Walker only adding to the mayhem.
Hallmark Christmas Experience BEST KISS is Paul & Andrew?!
During a “Hallmark Hunks” panel hosted by Hallmark star Taylor Cole, she asked multiple questions submitted by audience members, including one that inquired: “What is your best ‘I’m about to kiss you face? Bonus if you can demonstrate!” Paul Campbell got his pal and “Three Wisest Men” co-star Andrew Walker to stand up with him — but he probably didn’t expect Walker was actually going to plant one on him!
Hallmark’s Christmas Voice Changer Trips Up the Stars
During each of the Hallmark Christmas Experience weekends, stars have played hilarious versions of “The Dating Game,” giving members of the audience a chance to find their perfect Hallmark star by asking questions on the other side of an onstage partition. Making the bit even funnier is that the stars are given microphones that alter their voices so the audience member can’t guess who they’re talking to.
The first trio of stars to try out the mics were Paul Campbell, Benjamin Ayres, and Tyler Hynes, with Jonathan Bennett serving as game show host. Hilarity immediately ensued when Campbell didn’t realize that his voice had been changed in the video above.
Another hysterical moment happened when Ayres heard himself laugh into the modulated microphone and, suddenly realizing it sounded like a cartoonish evil laugh, he fully leaned into it and had everyone rolling!
Hallmark Hunks Tease Tyler Hynes for His Unintentionally ‘Icognito’ Outfit
Another unexpected moment from the “Hallmark Hunks” panel that had us laughing was when Paul Campbell mercilessly teased Tyler Hynes for his get-up after Taylor Cole read another audience member’s question, curious whether Hynes needed to disguise himself in public because he’s grown so famous.
Hynes is so humble that he couldn’t even make sense of the question at first, and once Campbell started teasing him, the other guys dove in, too. But it all ended with a sweet compliment from Campbell, and Hynes throwing in a mention for the Light the World Giving Machine he visited in Kansas City, where he bought one of every item requested by local charities supporting families in need.
