Hallmark Star Makes Social Media Plea To Rally Votes for DWTS Pal

If there’s one thing that Elaine Hendrix has been able to count on since joining “Dancing With the Stars,” it’s the support of her friends. Longtime pals, including former “True Blood” star Kristin Bauer and best friend Lisa Ann Walter, have been showing up weekly to encourage fans to vote for her. Hallmark star Sharon Lawrence is another of her friends who has been cheering her on during the live shows.

The “Grand Ole Opry Christmas” star couldn’t be there for Dedication Night to support Hendrix, as she had to be in Nashville for Hallmark’s “Countdown to Christmas” event. Still, she made sure all of her fans on social media knew what to do.

Sharon Lawrence Reminds Fans That Hendrix Was in ‘Parent Trap’

On October 13, the “Merry & Bright” star once again demonstrated how much she loves her pal, Hendrix. She posted an emotional video explaining why she deserves everyone’s vote.

“Hey sports fans, it’s ‘Dancing With the Stars’ night, and you know what that means,” Lawrence said. “You can go and vote for my pal, Elaine Hendrix, and her bestie, Lisa Ann Walter, who’s also a pal. They’ve known each other for 30 years. They were in the ‘Parent Trap’ together. Chances are, that movie was part of your life, too.”

“So please, watch, and just go on and text Elaine to 21523,” she continued. “You can text up to ten times. And this is Tribute Night, and I would love to see her advance to the next step next week, we all would.”

Not only did she remind people how to vote for her, but she also reposted Alan Bersten’s adorable video showing himself, Hendrix, and Walter singing the 4 Non Blondes/Nikki Minaj mashup “What’s Up Beez?”

Sharon Lawrence is Busy Promoting Hallmark’s Slate of Holiday Films

While Hendrix, Bersten, and Walter knocked it out of the park with their performance of “This Will Be” by Natalie Cole, Lawrence posted a photo on her Instagram stories showing her, Nikki DeLoach, Lacey Chabert, Eliza Hayes Maher, and others on a bus headed to Nashville. She also posted a snapshot of the dinner menu for the event.

“A Grand Ole Opry Christmas” stars DeLoach and Kristoffer Polaha. De Loach plays a country singer named Genry Wade, who “abandoned her dream of a songwriting career and distanced herself from her father’s legacy following his tragic accident 30 years prior.” The film sees her go back in time 30 years with her friend, Mac (Polaha), where she finally gets closure on past events.

The film will premiere on Saturday, November 29, at 8 pm ET/7 pm CT on the Hallmark Channel.
