Hallmark star Lacey Chabert doesn’t just star in some of our favorite Christmas films; she absolutely adores the holiday. And, while her good friend, Kimberly J. Brown, may prefer decorating for Halloween, Lacey starts decorating for Christmas before the candy corn has even been put away.
On November 29, her 9-year-old daughter, Julia, even trolled her on social media. “I found my mom outside setting up Christmas ornaments before it’s even Halloween,” she said, while recording Lacey adding decorations to a tree. “It’s her happy place. There’s even a Christmas tree inside now.”
The “Celebrations” star’s daughter may joke that “This is all she likes to do, ever since she was born,” but Lacey’s love of the most festive time of the year is no joke.
Lacey Chabert Admits to Decorating Before Halloween
“I’ve already decorated,” Lacey admitted on “Live With Kelly and Mark” when asked if she puts up Christmas decorations before Halloween. “I’m so excited. You want to soak it up, suck all the joy out of it. My family gives me such a hard time.”
“They give me such a hard time,” she continued. “Like, ‘Mom, how many holidays are you going to skip?’ I’m like, we’re not skipping them, we’re just doing them in a festive, Christmas way.”
Lacey’s daughter took another video of her mom on October 17, showing “The Christmas Quest” actress sneaking in Christmas decorations. “Why are you sneaking around?” Julia asked her. “I thought you said you were going to the grocery store while I was at school?”
“They sell these,” Lacey insisted, “at the grocery store.” While Julia wasn’t convinced, she continued unloading the festive haul from her car.
Inspector Lacey Chabert Must Decide Fate of Naughty or Nice Kids in New Film
Lacey’s next film, “She’s Making a List,” co-stars Andrew Walker. She plays Isabel, “an inspector for Santa’s Naughty or Nice list. So when a kid falls somewhere in between, she’s on the job,” Lacey explained.
“She learns to listen to her heart a bit more,” Lacey continued. “It’s a beautiful story, it’s fun and whimsical, and we had the best time making it.”
According to the film’s synopsis, Isabel “is tasked with evaluating a mischievous 11-year-old Charlie Duncan.” However, “things get complicated when Isabel unexpectedly falls for Charlie’s widowed father, Jason (Walker), and begins to question the rigid rules of her job.”
“She’s Making a List” will premiere on the Hallmark Channel on Saturday, December 6, at 8 pm ET/7 pm CT.
