Hallmark Fans Are Eager to Watch ‘Hope Valley: 1874’ When It Premieres in March

Lots of Hennessy’s Instagram followers left comments filled with red heart emojis and other similar symbols signaling their excitement for the upcoming series.

One fan gushed, “So excited for this show and to see you in this role!”

Several people wrote that they loved Hennessy’s “baddie” look, and everybody seems quite excited to check out “Hope Valley: 1874” when it debuts.

Variety revealed details on the new Hallmark project on December 12. It is set as a prequel to “When Calls the Heart” and will premiere in March. Hennesy portrays Hattie Quinn, a “tenacious pioneer woman.”

Co-star Lenz plays Rebecca Clarke, who heads to the Western Canada frontier from Chicago with her daughter. “When her wagon breaks down, she has no choice but to accept help from local rancher and confirmed bachelor, Tom Moore (Ayres),” Variety teased.

Clarke didn’t intend to set down roots in Hope Valley. However, viewers will see, “The future she dreams of for her and her daughter, along with the people she meets in this fledgling town…ultimately compel her to put down roots and make a fresh start.”

The debut season of “Hope Valley: 1874” will consist of eight episodes.

The series is described as following “adventurous ranchers, gold prospectors and early pioneers who worked together to navigate and embrace the changes of a new era.”

Eventually, the description of the show indicates, the group will “ultimately build a small, close-knit community in the rugged and hopeful pioneer era.”

  1. Glad to see Jill Hennessy back as she is one excellent actress. Loved her in Law & Order, and then the series I really liked her in she starred as a coroner.
