As a leading lady of Hallmark, Lacey Chabert has the privilege of working alongside some of the network’s most talented stars. Fortunately for her fellow acting friends not on the channel, that means the door to landing a Hallmark Channel movie could be held wide open.
Looking to make her mark on the hit family-friendly network alongside her former “Party of Five” co-star, actress Jennifer Love Hewitt asked the Hallmark star when they’ll be making a joint movie appearance.
Jennifer Love Hewitt Pitches Herself to Lacey Chabert
Hewitt recently took to her Instagram Story to repost the poster for Chabert’s upcoming film “Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True.” While expressing how excited she is for the premiere during the Countdown to Christmas 2026 lineup, Hewitt also asked her former co-star when she’ll be able to star alongside her again.
“I can’t wait! When do I get to play your sister in one of these movies? Love you,” Hewitt wrote, according to Cinema Blend.
Chabert quickly re-shared the “I Know What You Did Last Summer” star’s post and included a response, writing, “Playing sisters will be a dream! I hope this happens soon! ❤️.”
It’s been over 25 years since Chabert and Hewitt last collaborated in “Party of Five.” The former Fox drama series ran for six seasons from 1994 through 2000.
Chabert played the role of Claudia Salinger, one of the main five siblings in a family whose parents passed away in a car accident. Hewitt starred in the series as Sarah Reeves Merrin, the girlfriend of Bailey Salinger, played by Hallmark actor Scott Wolf.
Chabert also featured in a guest role of “Ghost Whisperer” season 2 in 2006 alongside Hewitt, who played Melinda Gordon in the show for five seasons.
Lacey Chabert’s Sweet Gesture to Jennifer Love Hewitt
Despite sharing the screen together two decades ago, Chabert and Hewitt have kept in touch over the years. In 2022, Hewitt took to her Instagram Story to thank Chabert for sending her a pair of pajamas from her Lacey Chabert collection.
“It’s a hallmark movie marathon kind of weekend and now I will be wearing your amazing pajamas! Thank you!” Hewitt wrote, Cinema Blend reported.
Chabert responded to the “Client List” actress by saying she was happy she liked her PJ set, which she sent a double of for Hewitt’s daughter so they could wear them together. “Thank you! So glad you girls can match 🤍.”
While nothing has been set in motion just yet, anything can happen! Hopefully Chabert and Hewitt’s “dream” comes true, and fans will soon be able to see the similarly looking duo on screen together again.
