Prince Super Fan Melissa Peterman Marks 10th Anniversary of His Passing with Big Reveal & Epic Throwback

Hallmark star Melissa Peterman never shies away from showing her love for the legendary musician Prince. Peterman did just that to mark the 10th anniversary of the singer’s sudden death with a special memory and a major revelation.

Melissa Peterman Reveals Massive Prince Music Collection

There’s no question that Peterman is a Prince super fan. However, just in case fans needed to understand her love for him, she used social media to make a big reveal.

In an Instagram share, the “Reba” star posted a video of the Prince and the Revolution cover for the single “Purple Rain”, which came out on June 25, 1984. Peterman pans the camera over to a classic record player that had a purple 45 vinyl record on it.

When she placed the needle on the record, “Purple Rain” played in all its glory, just as it did back in the day when it was first released on vinyl.

Peterman used her caption not only to honor Prince’s passing but also to make a big reveal about being a super fan of his to this day.

“I have almost all of his music on vinyl. But today I will play the one I’ve had the longest. The purple 45 of Purple Rain I bought in Minneapolis when I was 13. I can’t believe he left this world 10 years ago. I wish he was still here. Thank you for the music that is forever my sound track. @prince #prince 💜,” she expressed in the caption.

In a separate social media post, the actress shared a photo of her Prince collection on Instagram to let fans know Prince was on her playlist all day long to remember him. Peterman’s feet can be seen in the picture standing in front of Prince’s albums: Around the World in a Day, Prince, Dirty Mind, Controversy, 1999, Purple Rain, and some of his greatest hits.

It was quite the collection. Fans excitedly popped into the comments to share their thoughts on her impressive Prince album collection.

“Love your collection. I wish we had more creative artists like him around still. Such a genius in his own right. 💜💜💜💜,” shared a fan. Another one added, “LOVE LOVE LOVE U + PRINCE 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜.”

Melissa Peterman Remembers Prince with Epic Throwback

The “Happy Place” star kept her tribute to Prince going on the 10th anniversary of his death. Peterman’s final social media post was a clip of her at the tribute concert for Prince, six months after his 2016 passing.

Peterman posted a video of a guitar solo, then panned to the audience as she landed back on her feet for a hot second. “Goodnight. #celebrationoflifeconcert #2016 #mn #prince @prince 💜,” she wrote as her caption.

The Prince Tribute – A Celebration of Life and Music took place on October 13, 2016, at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota. It was a multi-hour event featuring performances by his family, friends, and other stars. The Revolution, Stevie Wonder, Christina Aguilera, Chaka Khan, and Anita Baker are just a few musicians who took part in the event.

Prince Rogers Nelson sadly died at age 57 from an accidental fentanyl overdose in his Paisley Park estate in Minneapolis on April 21, 2016.
