To become a beloved star on Hallmark Channel, actors know they’ve got to nail those all-important kissing scenes, but it’s not as easy as it looks. In EntertainmentNow’s KISS & TELL series, Hallmark’s biggest stars give us the scoop on the most memorable on-set smooches of their careers.
With nearly 20 Hallmark rom-coms and mysteries to her name, Rhiannon Fish has locked lips with lots of Hallmark hunks, from swoonworthy scenes with Tyler Hynes in 2023’s “A Picture of Her” to mountainside kisses with Alec Santos in 2025’s “A Machu Picchu Proposal.” Though she may technically be an old pro at this, Fish told EntertainmentNow every kiss feels like a high-pressure situation for her — and that the most embarrassing one happened mere months ago.
Rhiannon Fish Says She Was ‘Terrified’ for Her 1st Onscreen Kiss
HallmarkFish, 34, has been acting since she was a kid, beginning with the Australian series “Neighbours” more than two decades ago. Recalling her first onscreen kiss, she told EntertainmentNow she was “terrified.”
“I was in my teens, and it was for, like, a soap opera in Australia,” she said. “I hadn’t even kissed that many boys in real life at that point, maybe two? And it was not that much, I can assure you. So to then go ahead and do it on camera, it was just beyond nerve-wracking.”
But all these years later, Fish said that kissing scenes are still “always a little bit nerve-wracking, explaining, “You never really know what to expect. And there is a degree of pressure. Like, I know we are making Hallmark movies. We all know what that means, but still, the audience works for that kiss. We’re going to drag it out, usually, till the very end. So you want to give them, you know, what they paid for, so to speak.”
Rhiannon Fish’s ‘Most Nerve-Wracking’ Kissing Scene Happened in 2025
HallmarkDespite many years of kissing Hallmark hunks, Fish told EntertainmentNow that her most nerve-wracking onscreen kiss came mere months ago, while she was filming the 2025 holiday movie “The Christmas Cup” with “When Calls The Heart” star Ben Rosenbaum.
Fish laughed, “I have had directors step in and say, ‘That was a little bit too much kissing, Rhiannon. Let’s dial that back.’ I’m like, ‘No worries, I’ve taken the note, thank you. I am mortified that you had to say that, but no worries.'”
She continued, “So, when Ben and I did our most recent movie together, I’d never had this (happen) before. We did the take, we kissed, and the director came in and was like, ‘Wow, that was like watching two friends being forced to kiss.'”
Shrinking with embarrassment, she continued, “It was bad! And it’s not like you can sort of then workshop it. We just then had to blindly go into the next take and be like, ‘Whatever we did, don’t do that again!’ So I will be honest with you, that kissing experience was by far the most nerve-wracking I have ever had.”
Joking that the footage needs to be destroyed, Fish said, “I honestly hope nobody ever sees it! It was obviously terrible.”
One must-have Fish said she always has on hand is Listerine, to ensure that at least her breath isn’t embarrassing. But even that has backfired on her, she laughed, admitting, “It’s to the point where I’ve had different people on the set be like, ‘Why can I smell Listerine?’ because it’s so strong. I’m like, ‘Oh, hi, that’s just me!'”
Rhiannon Fish Says She & Tyler Hynes Thought Outside the Box for Their Kissing Scenes
When Fish and Hynes teamed up for “A Picture of Her” in 2023, she hilariously shared in media interviews that she did not mind one bit having to kiss the Hallmark hunk, who has an army of fans that went wild over those smooches.
Nearly three years later, Fish said those remain her most memorable Hallmark kisses, adorably telling EntertainmentNow, “I will never shy away from expressing my crush on Tyler Hynes. I get it, I get it, I get it. I see you guys, and I’m with you guys. And in my movie with Tyler, we got to do several kisses, and they were all memorable.”
Hallmark pushed the envelope a bit with “A Picture of Her,” allowing kisses that were a bit steamier than the norm — a decision that Fish said was intentional for her and Hynes.
“Tyler often looks at, like, the bigger picture — where can we possibly grow and evolve the network?” she explained. “He doesn’t just show up to do what’s at hand. He’s thinking much bigger picture. We had a discussion, and I believe this was Tyler’s call … for the first kiss. He was like, ‘I want you to kiss me.’ So often it is the guy, you know, grabbing the girl’s face and kissing her, which is lovely, and there will always be a place for that. But I think when you have the opportunity, within Hallmark’s guidelines, to do things that may be a little out of the box, I think it is always really fun and exciting for anybody watching.”
Could fans get to see the duo together again? Fish told EntertainmentNow said she’d just been talking with Hynes that same day about the possibility of another movie, noting, “Obviously I can’t say anything, but I know that both he and I are definitely working towards that. I should be so lucky. I would love nothing more than to work with Tyler again.”

What do you except, they were dating in real life. They had plenty of practicing.
I didn’t know that. I don’t really like her.
This movie is for sure one of my all time favorites and yes it was about the wonderful kissing! WOW!! This girl gets it!!
Don’t like her, she annoying
Tyler Hynes kisses like he really means it. Some of those actors look like they are kissing the upper lip. Not romantic looking at all and that is some of Hallmark’s old timers.
Sounds like she wants Tyler. Like really want him. Are they dating?
