Bobby Berk became a household name after starring in eight seasons of Netflix’s “Queer Eye.” He has since landed his own HGTV series, “Junk or Jackpot?,” which he says will “fill the void” for “Queer Eye” fans.
Bobby Berk Talks New HGTV Series
“Junk or Jackpot?” premiered its first episode on December 26, 2026. In his new series, Berk helps collectors uncover the true value of their unusual collections, HGTV revealed. But “they must decide if they’re willing to sell some of their items to help pay for much needed home renovations.”
“It’s a lot of fun! I really wanted to find a show that allowed me to have a big emotional component that actually helped change people’s lives and not just change the sheets,” Berk told PRIDE in an interview published on Friday, January 2.
He went on to explain how “Junk or Jackpot?” will appeal to the fans who fell in love with him on “Queer Eye.”
“The amazing thing about the family of fans that a show like ‘Queer Eye’ brings to the table… like our fans are just there because they love us. They’re there because they wanted to feel good. They wanted that warm, happy, sense that the world is going to be okay,” he said. “There are still people out there helping each other and lifting each other up and doing good in the community. Our show attracts the salt of the Earth and the most wonderful people out there. If you were an [expletive], you probably weren’t a ‘Queer Eye’ fan!”
During his run on “Queer Eye,” Berk was the go-to interior designer, helping to renovate the homes of each episode’s star as his costars, Tan France, Jonathan Van Ness, Karamo Brown, and Antoni Porowski, helped with fashion, beauty, culture and cooking.
Berk announced his exit from the series in 2023 and was later replaced by Jeremiah Brent.
“‘Queer Eye’ fans are lovely, wonderful people who want to see good in the world. I think that this show is going to fill that void for them that they’re missing now and bring in new people that are just wanting to see good things happen to good people,” Berk told PRIDE.
Bobby Berk’s HGTV Announcement Caused a Stir
When HGTV announced its newest star in June 2025, some noted the exciting news came just one day after Netflix announced the final season of his former show. But Berk later insisted the timing was a coincidence and not subtle shade.
“I have to say, I swear on my mother’s life, my show announcement date was set. No, this was planned. Show announcements don’t happen on a whim,” Berk told People in August 2025. “Even Karamo was like, ‘Girl, the day after?’ I’m like, ‘No, no, no. I promise you it was already planned.'”
New episodes of “Junk or Jackpot?” air Fridays on HGTV.
