Brooke Hogan is setting the record straight after fans began speculating about her on-screen chemistry with Scott McGillivray.
The current HGTV competitor took to Instagram to firmly shut down rumors suggesting there’s something more than friendship between her and her “Rock the Block” co-star.

Sharing a carousel of photos, Hogan offered a lighthearted but pointed response—one that included both McGillivray and her husband, Steven Oleksy, joking around together.
“People looooove to speculate,” she captioned the post. “There’s been a lot of people commenting on posts of me and Scott suggesting we have a ‘thing’ going on.”
She didn’t hold back in addressing the tone of the comments either, adding, “And honestly, it’s just mean and hateful. (But sorry we’re so funny and adorable on camera😌).”
Hogan made it clear that their playful dynamic is simply part of their teamwork on the hit home renovation competition series.
To further drive her point home, she shared photos of McGillivray and Oleksy bonding—at one point even jokingly feeding each other—as well as sweet moments featuring Hogan and Oleksy’s twin babies, Oliver and Molly.
“So for those people – I’ll just leave you with these pictures of Scott and my husband,” she wrote. “If you’re worried about anyone, worry about my hockey player husband stealing his sweet Canadian heart. 😂”
McGillivray himself joined in on the fun, commenting, “I never fed Brooke like this! Just Steve 😉,” reinforcing the playful, friendly nature of their relationship.
The speculation appears to have stemmed from the duo’s strong on-screen chemistry during Season 7 of “Rock the Block,” which premiered April 13.

Opening up about motherhood with Page Six, Hogan shared how much joy her children have brought into her life.
“It is so much fun,” she said. “There’s something very special about twins, and I just feel like that was if God gave me payback for any hardships I went through in my life, it was my husband and my kids.”
She also revealed how much she enjoys watching her children grow and bond.
“It’s so darling watching them. They’re just starting to realize who each other are,” she explained. “They’ll catch each other’s eye and smile at each other.”
As for the rumors, Hogan’s message is clear: what viewers see on screen is simply good chemistry—not real-life romance.
