Looks like the stars of HGTV’s hit show “Castle Impossible” are going to need a nursery in the 500-year-old chateau they’re renovating near Paris. During the episode that airs on June 2, 2026, fans will see Daphne and Ian Fig reveal they’re expecting their first baby!
In a clip of the episode, the couple sweetly informs Daphne’s grandmother and Anthony Raggett, the master craftsman and friend who often helps them with their renovations, that their “little chateau family is growing.”

In the clip posted by HGTV, Daphne is seen enjoying an outdoor meal and telling her grandma and Tony in French, “Granny and Tony, we have another small surprise for you. Look under your plate.”
Daphne’s grandma pulls an envelope out from under her plate and joyfully reads the card inside, which says above a sonogram image, “Surprise! You’re going to be a super Granny to our little baby.”
Tony then asks, “You two are having a baby?” and Daphne laughs, “We’re having a baby!”
Her grandma then squeals as she looks at the baby’s profile in the sonogram, “Can you see the little baby?” And as Tony hugs Daphne, she continues, “It’s going to be great with the baby. I’m glad that I’ll get to rock this little boy — or this little girl.”
Daphne says in the clip that they don’t know whether the baby is a boy or a girl, but it’s not clear when the couple filmed the clip and how far along in the pregnancy they are now.

On the morning of June 2, HGTV posted a social media photo of the Figs outside their French chateau, each with a hand on Daphne’s growing baby bump. In the caption, the network wrote, “The #CastleImpossible fairytale just got a brand new chapter: Baby on The Way! That’s right, Daphne and Ian are expecting!!”
Fans were thrilled to see the news, including one who commented, “This is so wonderful!!! Now we can watch the nursery come together!!❤️❤️”
Another gushed, “Ahhhhhh omg I am SO happy for them!” while someone else wrote, “This is exciting. They will be amazing parents.”
As the Figs enter this new chapter, they clearly intend to keep renovating the gorgeous chateau they inherited from Daphne’s maternal grandparents. In the HGTV clip from their big reveal, Daphne tells producers, “It’ll be really nice having the three generations living together.”

“I’ve always wanted to be a mom,” Daphne tells producers in the clip from the June 2 episode of “Castle Impossible,” explaining, “I think I was around 2 and a half when I started pushing around my first doll and saying that I was gonna be a mother of 10. I’m not gonna have 10 kids, but to finally have a baby of my own, that’s really exciting.”
As the foursome celebrate the good news at their courtyard breakfast, Tony says, “I’d like to raise a glass to the two of you. A toast … to the baby!”
Daphne and Ian were high school sweethearts while growing up in Grass Valley, California. They went their separate ways after graduation, but reconnected in 2015 while they were both home for the holidays. They got engaged in 2020 and got married later that year, with plans to move into a small house, per People.
But when her grandma called to say that Daphne’s grandfather was ill and wanted them to inherit the 29-room French chateau they owned just outside of Paris, where Daphne spent her summers, per Action News Now. The Figs decided to dive into an overseas adventure of renovating the expansive property while hosting weddings to bring in an income.
