HGTV recently revealed its 2026 Dream Home, which fans have a chance to win, along with $100,000 cash prize.
“This home has the perfect balance of lakeside serenity and refined design,” said the home’s interior designer Brian Patrick Flynn, in a press release. “With this year’s HGTV Dream Home, I wanted every detail to mirror the natural beauty of Lake Wylie while creating a space that feels warm, inviting, and effortlessly livable.”

The three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom home spans more than 3,000 square feet. The home offers unparalleled views of Lake Wylie, North Carolina—just 20 minutes from downtown Charlotte.
Flynn added, “The fact you’re just doing a small commute to something that feels like it’s hundreds of miles away is just magical.”

Inside the 2026 HGTV Dream Home
Brands such as Sherwin-Williams, Spectrum, SimpliSafe, Stanley Steemer, and Wayfair came together to create this stunning lakefront oasis. The fully-furnished home, in addition to the $100,000 cash prize, is valued at more than $2.4 Million.
The serene property features a private double-decker dock, perfect for boating and fishing, offers additional living and dining spaces. Homeowners can take in their private view of the lake while cozying up by the fire or lounging on their sprawling back deck.
Guests can escape to their quarters, complete with a full en-suite bathroom and separate library space. No detail was spared with this gorgeous estate. The pantry has easy access to the garage via a “Costco door,” the primary bedroom is flooded with natural light from the skylights, the garage is a perfect flex space with a dog wash and ping pong table, and the second-story laundry room doubles as a work-from-home space.

Viewers can tune in to the one-hour special HGTV Dream Home 2026 on Tuesday, January 1, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET on HGTV, also available on HBO Max and discovery+ the same day.
I am not the least bit interested in seeing some rich person’s place on the water, with all the accessories anyone can think of or wish for.
I’m middle class, or lower now that I’m retired, I prefer to see the ‘fixer upper’s, Bargain Block, Rentovation, Help I Wrecked my House, stuff like that, people in the higher financial categories don’t sit and watch tv, we broke people do, I prefer to watch my price range than the want of something I can never have.

I’m retired and even though I don’t have that kind of money, it sure would be nice to live like I did even if it were for a day! Who wouldn’t, well I guess the person who wrote the first comment would’t, but I sure would. Thank you HGTV for giving me the chance!
It would be nice if the dream became a reality!
What I would like to know is what the cost associated with the Dream Home would be (Property Tax, Utility’s, etc…). I seriously doubt my Military Retirement would cover it…But would be nice if I could as my dream home is to live on a lake, watching the sunrise/sets, fish, swim, boat…
