Egypt Sherrod and husband Mike Jackson have not one, but two new shows on the horizon. The former HGTV couple shared an update about what viewers can expect next, and fans are thrilled to see them return after “Married to Real Estate” was canceled.
Egypt Sherrod Shares Latest Details About New Shows
In a May 2026 interview with OK! Magazine, Sherrod provided more details about their new shows.
“One show is called ‘Home Abroad.’ So I’ve been traveling around, and you’ll obviously find out more about that soon, but it’s been amazing. It’s been great to travel with my husband, see the world and still do what we love,” she explained.
The former HGTV star noted that they are in production for the other show, adding, “I’m very excited about that.”
Sherrod also touched on the limitations of their HGTV series.
“It’s actually great because ‘Married to Real Estate’ almost took a year to film 12 episodes,” she explained. “For us, we literally can do three seasons in a year now, so it’s definitely more contained.”
The filming allows a good balance as well. “And we can still live life in between. It still follows our life, so for those of you guys that miss us, we miss you too — and we’ll be back,” Sherrod said.
She continued, “I would say it’s the same thing we’ve always done with our business, just another layer. So I’m peeling back the onion and meeting the people that really help the ecosystem — people that watched me build Indigo Road.”
“Indigo Road is now about to expand into Texas. So we have really grown through the years. We’ve got our real estate division, a full-scale design division and we’re doing our second capsule with JCPenney launching next month,” Sherrod said.
The former HGTV star also dished on their adventures for “Home Abroad.”
“We’re headed to Vietnam in about three weeks. We’re going to be there for a little bit,” she noted. “With this new show, we get to travel to so many different countries, and I’m really excited about it. We also did Spain, Panama and Oaxaca, Mexico.”
Sherrod added that during their travels, “Mike is extremely adventurous” while she wants to check out the local architecture and see how much houses cost.
“And he’s like, ‘Stop working. We’re getting on the boat. We’re going fishing. We’re getting on the jet ski.’ So he pushes me to do things that usually I’d be like, ‘No, y’all go ahead,'” she explained.
Sherrod mentioned some of their adventures, such as riding ATVs in the jungle, horseback riding in the ocean, and zip-lining.
“We’ve kind of done it all at this point — not by choice for me most of the time,” she said. “We jumped in a cenote, and I was clinging to the rocks like, ‘How do I get out?’ But then you look back at the pictures and memories, and you’re so glad you did it.”
Egypt Sherrod & Mike Jackson Announced Their TV Return
Sherrod and Jackson first announced the new shows — “Home Abroad with Egypt and Mike” and “Deserving Design” — during an interview with USA Today published on April 20. Both shows are set for release in 2026.
“These shows reflect all the things that are important to us,” Sherrod shared.
She continued, “For those who have watched us for years, they know we believe in giving back and paying it forward. That is what we are passionate about.”
The HGTV star added, “At the core, these projects speak to our desire to help people, to build legacy and to use real estate and design to build impact.”
