For Mother’s Day weekend, many are thinking of the best ways to surprise and honor the mothers in their lives. HGTV star Tarek El Moussa decided the best way to celebrate his wife, Heather, was to shoot a video with their son, Tristan.
Although Tristan El Moussa is just three years old, he clearly thinks the world of his mother. Fans went wild for the sweet clip they made.
Tarek El Moussa Interviewed His Toddler About Heather
In 2018, HGTV star Tarek El Moussa was dealing with issues in his personal life, eventually resulting in his split from his then-wife, Christina Haack. Shortly after, he met “Selling Sunset” star Heather Rae Young. They quickly fell in love and moved in together. The couple married in 2021 and welcomed their son, Tristan Jay, in 2023.
The last few years have been particularly blissful for the El Moussas. Tarek and Christina are on excellent terms as they co-parent their children together. Meanwhile, Tarek and Heather are building a beautiful life of their own. For Mother’s Day, the “Flip or Flop” star knew he had to shower his wife with love and adoration.
On Instagram, Tarek El Moussa sat down with his three-year-old son to interview him about his mother.
“Is this literally the cutest thing ever or not?! 🥹” Tarek El Moussa captioned the Instagram video. “How do you find out about your three year old’s obsession? Just interview him about his mama. ❤️ There’s nothing like hearing your son talk about the woman who loves him more than anything. Heather, you are such an incredible mom. The way he loves you says everything. Happy Mother’s Day. We love you to the moon.😘”
As the clip plays, Tarek asks young Tristan various questions about his mother. When asked where his favorite place to go with his mother is, the toddler gleefully declares, “Monster Jam.” Tristan also added that they love snuggling together.
When asked if there’s anything else he would like to say to Heather, Tristan simply says, “I love you.”
In the comments, fans gushed over the sweet video.

The “Flip or Flop” Star Honors His Own Mother Too
Tarek El Moussa celebrated his own mother’s birthday this month and couldn’t wait to give her a special shout-out too.
“We don’t call her Cou Cou for nothing! Happy birthday to the best mom ever!” the real estate professional wrote on Instagram. “I have so many childhood memories of my mom dragging me all across Europe in broken down buses, staying in hot hotel rooms during Italian heat waves, and as she would say ‘to boot’ no air conditioning🤣🤣🤣. I’ll tell you what… I wouldn’t change it for the world! We’ve always had so much fun and we’ve seen so many things and now it’s so much fun to watch her with the babies! Happy birthday mom I love you!!!❤️❤️❤️”
