Erin and Ben Napier Celebrate 10 Years of ‘Home Town’
The Napiers along with HGTV acknowledged the milestone anniversary with a fun Instagram post.
“Can’t believe it’s been 10 years since #HGTVHomeTown premiered!” they captioned a joint Instagram post on Saturday, January 24, alongside then and now images of the pair. “Thank you, Ben & Erin, for bringing Laurel into all of our lives ❤️”
Fans were thrilled for their favorite renovation stars, taking to the comments section to share their love.
“Sometimes, I simply have your show on in the background so I can hear Erin and Ben’s voice. My comfort show,” one fan commented.
“Favorite show then and favorite show now👏👏👏” another wrote.
“I can’t believe it’s been that long! I named my daughter Laurel because of the show🩷 Love love love Home Town,” a third revealed.
“Been watching since the first showed aired’ and never miss an episode! Cheers to 10 and 10 more,” another follower manifested.
Another fan shared a sentimental memory of growing up near Laurel, Mississippi, thanking the Napiers for their impact on the small town.
“Laurel has been a part of me my entire life since it’s right down the road from my family’s ‘hometown’, even had family live there when I was a child. When some of us cousins made a visit to Laurel after a family gathering, we were saddened at what downtown Laurel had become, so many closed storefronts,” she began. “Two years ago I was visiting a cousin in Ellisville and we made a day of visiting all our childhood memories including Laurel and I was so happy to see what it has become. The downtown is thriving again, there is life. Congratulations @erinapier and @scotsman.co on your 10 year work anniversary and thank you for all that you have done on helping bring Laurel back to life!”
‘Home Town’ Is In Its 10th Season
“Home Town” premiered on HGTV in 2016 and has spawned a spinoff series, “Home Town Takeover.”
According to the show’s description, “Ben and Erin Napier, along with members of the HGTV family, lead a major overhaul to revitalize a small town by renovating the homes of the town’s changemakers, businesses and community spaces.”
Season 4 of “Home Town Takeover” is heading to Canada. However, the couple won’t be hosting the upcoming season.
“Our production company is Canadian. The people who make our show, they’re passionate about this Canadian takeover,” Erin explained during a recent interview with Cinemablend, adding that they are not “legally allowed” to host. “But, because we are Americans, we are not legally allowed to host the show. We can only be in it as, like, guest stars.”
