Dave and Jenny Marrs recently enjoyed a vacation to Italy and shared one of the highlights with fans. The HGTV star explained how special one town’s annual race is to them.
Dave & Jenny Marrs Attend Annual Bravio Race
On September 5, Jenny took to Instagram to give her fans a taste of the annual Bravio race they attended with friends.
“Dave and I just returned from visiting our favorite hill town for the annual @braviodellebotti race!” Jenny wrote in the caption. “This is our second Bravio but our first win as a member of @contrada_cagnano 💙💚!”
She continued, “It’s hard to explain what makes the Bravio so special … the history, the energy, the loyalty, the excitement, the anticipation … it’s more than just a weeklong celebration culminating in a spectacular athletic performance.”
“It’s a sense of community and pride and the spirit of carrying forth ancient traditions. It’s a step back in time in the best possible way,” she explained. “We brought American friends and tried to explain it beforehand but there’s no explaining it. There’s only experiencing it.”
The HGTV star noted, “Our kids were here this summer for the anticipation but couldn’t be here for the race (school and sports) but they live-streamed the race from home and celebrated with us.”
“Goodness, we love this place. These people. This contrada,” Jenny added. “The way they have embraced our family and allowed us to step into this incredible community has been nothing short of an immense blessing for us.”
