Joanna Gaines Shares Inside Look at Honey Harvest Day on Family Farm
On August 22, Gaines took to Instagram to share a look at their annual honey harvest tradition.
“My favorite day of the year — Honey Harvest Day at the farm! Always amazed and grateful at the gift these bees give us every year.✨🍯✨,” she shared in the caption.
Gaines added, “Thanks for the celebratory sign for my fav day, Ella 😍.”
The video opened with Ella’s sign: “Welcome to the Honey Harvest.” Then it cut to Gaines and her son Crew dressed in beekeeper suits, walking through the yard on their way to the bee boxes.
The “Fixer Upper” star gave a quick look at what it’s like to be surrounded by bees, then showed the work involved in harvesting the honey. She had plenty of help from her kids, with Crew seeming particularly interested in the process.
They filled jars with the liquid gold and Gaines was seen climbing out of a window at one point. The video ended with a look at the beautiful jars of honey sitting on counters, window sills, and shelves catching the sunlight.
