HGTV Fans Stick Up for Nicole Curtis, Confused by One-Day-Only Return of ‘Rehab Addict’

Fans who’ve been waiting patiently for the return of “Rehab Addict,” the long-running home restoration series starring Nicole Curtis, were thrilled to hear HGTV will premiere two new episodes on February 11, 2026. But that excitement was quickly tempered by confusion, as they realized the back-to-back episodes wouldn’t premiere in primetime, but during the middle of the day.

In a Facebook post on February 8, Curtis told fans, “I found out late Friday night that our new episodes will air Wednesday at noon. Now, for the record, I’ve never had a show debut on daytime. Little crazy for me to wrap my head around, but I chose to sell my shows to HGTV and they get to do whatever they want with them.”

‘Rehab Addict’ Fans Frustrated by ‘Crappy Time Slot’

Two new episodes of “Rehab Addict” will premiere on February 11 at noon and 1 p.m. Eastern time, HGTV announced via social media. The episodes are a continuation of the show’s ninth season; the first two episodes premiered in June 2025 before Curtis pulled the plug on the remaining episodes, saying they weren’t ready for air.

Many fans expressed excitement about finally getting to see the new episodes, including one who commented, “Wonderful news! Can’t wait to see Nicole and her Rehab Addict team back at work in Detroit! 😊❤️.”

But fans also shared how confused and frustrated they were about HGTV’s scheduling decision, including one who wrote on Instagram, “So excited to see Nicole back in action. But, HGTV, why the crappy time slot?? She deserves prime time!!!”

Someone else asked, “What’s with the time slot? Give this show a better time slot. ❤️” while another fan quipped, “I might have to watch during my lunch break ❤️”

On Facebook, another fan complained, “I hope HGTV pulls their heads from their respective rectal cavities, and realize that the majority really miss shows like yours! You are a treat to watch because you have real, natural reactions to the good and bad sides of rehabbing. Not scripted and necessarily planned. I LOVE THAT!”

Nicole Curtis Opted to ‘Say Less’ About HGTV’s Scheduling Decision on ‘Rehab Addict’

In a Instagram post on February 8, Curtis announced the premiere date and time and wrote, “I could say more, but I shall say less. Thank you for 15 years of amazing, amazing support! Your love took me from a struggling mommy working odd jobs in Craigslist to a real estate mogul whose voice (more than face) gets recognized all over the world.”

In her more in-depth Facebook post, she wrote, “At the end of the day, I’ve managed to keep my vision going strong for 15 years on TV and frankly, they could put them on at 2 am and I’d be ok, I mean, how many people get to say—-that’s my TV show NOT i had a cameo on a sjow, but simply, that’s my own show. Not a whole lot and I’m so proud of the fact that I can say that.”

“Rehab Addict” premiered in 2010. In May 2025, HGTV announced that the ninth season would premiere in June — thrilling news for fans of Curtis, who took a nearly three-year break from being on TV due to personal reasons, she told People at the time.

Curtis produced the short four-episode season herself while restoring two dilapidated homes — one in Wyoming and the other in her hometown of Detroit. The first two episodes aired as planned, but Curtis abruptly pulled the plug on the other two episodes, telling her fans in an Instagram post that she didn’t feel they were ready to air and needed more time.

After the new episodes air, they’ll be able to stream on HBOMax along with past seasons of “Rehab Addict.”

  1. They will stream on HBO/Max and Discovery Plus the day after they air on HGTV. But you can watch it on any streaming service or cable service that carries the HGTV channel on the day it releases
