Heather and Tarek El Moussa have been married since 2021 and share a son, Tristan, but Tarek is also a father to daughter Taylor and son Brayden James, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Christina Haack. In the sweet holiday photo that Heather posted on Instagram on December 29, the couple poses with their blended family.
They are all wearing matching plaid pajamas, and even the family dog is included in the photo. Behind them is their beautifully decorated Christmas tree. It’s such a joyful picture, and it captures the close bond this family shares. In the caption, Heather shared her thoughts, writing, “Better late than never….. Our annual Christmas Jammie photo.”

Heather Rae El Moussa Shares Her Feelings About Being a Stepmom
Heather has previously shared her thoughts on becoming a stepmom to Tarek and Haack’s children and how much she loves her blended family. In an interview on “Dancing With the Stars” star Peta Murgatroyd’s podcast, “The Penthouse With Peta,” she discussed her feelings on being a stepmom, saying, “It’s great. I’m so thankful for them. Because they’re the ones that made me want to have a baby. And they welcomed me.”
Heather also revealed a bit more about her bond with each kid and how it differed by age. “I didn’t get close with Brayden… I met him when he was three,” she shared. Heather said that when she met Brayden, he was only three years old, and so she was “a stranger to him.” She added, “So I’d say around five is when him and I really started getting close,” she said.
For Taylor and Heather, the bond formed more quickly, and she believes this is because Taylor understood the situation and that her dad was single and “not as happy.” Speaking of Taylor, she said, “My stepdaughter Taylor, she was 8. She welcomed me. I think she was ready for me.”
