Former HGTV star Lara Spencer can’t wait for her comeback. The “Good Morning America” anchor hosted 14 seasons of “Flea Market Flip” before HGTV canceled the show in 2019, per TV Insider, but her new thrifting show is almost here.
On January 12, 2026, Spencer told her Instagram followers that she’s never stopped thrifting and teased her new show and networks, writing, “My new Thrifting/design competition show launches in 2 months on @freeform and @hulu (cannot wait and think you will LOVE “That Thrifting Show”) but I do it in real life every week with my design partner Lisa-hunting for gorgeous treasures for our booth LeTigre Collection at @fairfieldcountyantiquedesign. 50 separate design/antique dealers open 7 days a week.”
Lara Spencer’s New Show Will Be Another Thrifting Competition
Spencer hosted “Flea Market Flip” from 2012 to 2019. The competition series visited different flea markets and pitted two teams of local duos against each other, as they purchased specific items to refurbish or repurpose. They then had to sell their new items for a profit, and the team with the biggest earnings won.
“I’ve been going to flea markets since I was a newborn,” she told HGTV in 2022. “My mom loves the thrill of the hunt, so she’d pack me up in a stroller and take me with her. Flea markets, yard sales, thrift shops — they were all places my mom and I loved to go to, especially as I got older. In fact, it was something we had to, because we didn’t have a lot of money. You can find really wonderful, quality items.”
After “Flea Market Finds” disappeared, Spencer hosted two seasons of “Everything But the House” for HGTV in 2021 and 2022, in which appraisers tried to find treasures in families’ homes. The show was acquired in 2023 by the lifestyle brand Home.Made.Nation, airing on A&E and Lifetime.
Spencer announced her new series, “That Thrifting Show,” during the above segment on “GMA” in September. She shared a photo of a modern den and said the entire space had been decorated in two days with thrifted items for under $2,000.
The new show will be a competition like “Flea Market Finds,” per Deadline. Spencer will give two teams identical rooms that they have to redesign using vintage and thrift store finds with limited time and a small budget. A premiere date has not been announced yet.
