Road tripping besties share their experiences at some interesting locations on HGTV‘s new show “Wild Vacation Rentals.” Actresses Sherry Cola and D’Arcy Carden from “Nobody Wants This” share what viewers can expect with their series. It’s sure to be anything but boring.
‘Wild Vacation Rentals’ Stars Are Thrilled to Be Part of the HGTV Family
It may not be a home renovation show, but “Wild Vacation Rentals” promises to deliver plenty of fun with Cola and Carden at the helm.
The show sees the pair traveling across the country in each episode to check out three different rental options. Then they determine which is their “must-stay” top pick of the three.
In a February interview with TV Insider, the duo explained how great it feels to be part of the HGTV family, with Carden sharing, “We really felt the love so fast.”
Cola explained, “We’re aware of the audience HGTV has. I’m honored to be part of this cinematic universe. I’m most excited for the world to see our dynamic in this environment because it’s so unexpected all around that I think they’ll have fun living vicariously through us as we explore these different vacation homes.”
“We’re stoked to be part of the HGTV family,” she added.
The two also reflected on how they clicked immediately on their first day working together on “Nobody Wants This.”
“We knew we would like each other, but it was really kind of electric how we got along, and how much we were making each other laugh,” Carden shared. “I would say it was love at first sight.”
While discussing their dynamic, Cola noted their “yin and yang.”
She shared, “I think that will be a fun dynamic for people to watch on top of these really unique homes that they’ve never seen in their lives.”
Picking a Winner Each Episode Proved Challenging for the Stars
The pair also shared some of the criteria involved in picking a winner each episode.
Carden noted that “bang for buck” was important and if it was “a place you’d want to sleep in and eat in kind of shot to the top of the list.”
Cola explained, “I feel like D’Arcy almost at every property asked ourselves, ‘We could live here?’ That was a measurement of how great it was for most of them. We were very much blown away in some capacity by every single property.”
Carden added, “It was hard and painful to pick a winner so to speak.”
“Wild Vacation Rentals” premieres March 2 at 10 p.m. ET and HGTV fans are very excited.
They lit up the comments section of an HGTV post about the new show, writing, “How fun!!! Looking forward to it,” “Omg I can’t wait!!” and “Yes! You two are so fun together!”

I can’t believe HGTV cancelled some really good shows for this
Did y’all take off Vacation Rentals off for this???? Someone really needs to lose their job!!!
