Ryan Murphy and the team behind “American Horror Story” announced the cast for the show’s 13th season in October 2025. It marks the return of some notable faces, including Evan Peters and Jessica Lange. Now, Peters is opening up about his excitement for the season and his other show, “The Beauty.”
Season 13 of “American Horror Story” will also see the returns of Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, and Leslie Grossman. Ariana Grande has also signed on for the show. This comes after the series has been off the air since early 2024.
Evan Peters Is Excited to Film ‘American Horror Story’
Peters spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about the yet-to-be-filmed season of “American Horror Story.” Notably, he hasn’t been on the series since its 10th season. He said, “First of all, it’s working with Ryan again, but second of all, he’s assembled the cast from all the different seasons.
It’s sort of an alumni, and we’re all getting back together to do this greatest-hits season. So we’ll see what he writes and what it brings. But just the chance to be able to work with Sarah, Jessica, Kathy, Angela again, and everybody involved. I’m interested to see what the scenes are and how it all plays out.”
The outlet then asked whether he was surprised by Lange’s return, since the beloved actress had famously said she wouldn’t do another season of “American Horror Story.”
He responded, “Yes! Yeah, Ryan knows how to have those dinners. He will get you in a second. I was definitely shocked, but thrilled, honestly.”
As fans know, Lange, as did Peters, appeared on the first season of the series. She remained through season four and appeared in season eight. It is currently rumored that production on season 13 of “American Horror Story” will begin in early February.
Additionally, reports state that the series will premiere around Halloween 2026. However, neither FX nor Murphy has confirmed this.
He’s Also Starring in ‘The Beauty’
Peters has starred in a number of Murphy’s productions. In additon to “American Horror Story,” he’s also appeared in the first season of Netflix’s “Monster.” Now, according to FX, he’s set to star in “The Beauty” as FBI agent Cooper Madsen.
The cast of the upcoming FX and Hulu show also includes Ashton Kutcher, Bella Hadid, Jeremy Pope, Rebecca Hall, and Anthony Ramos. It will premiere on January 21. Per IMDb, the premiere will include two episodes, and there are 11 in total.
