The iconic socialite, reality television star, model, and businesswoman Kim Kardashian has celebrated her half-sister Kylie Jenner’s birthday with some extremely rare throwback family photographs.
Kim, 45, has the same mother as Kylie — that being Kris Jenner — but a different father. Kardashian’s father is the late Robert Kardashian, while Kylie’s is Caitlyn Jenner (who was, of course, Bruce Jenner at the time of Kylie’s conception).
The pair shot to fame on the E! reality television series “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” which aired from 2007 until 2021, and they continue to star in its Hulu revival series “The Kardashians,” which is ongoing, having started airing in 2022.
As Kylie turned 29 yesterday, Monday, August 10, Kim took to social media to share some nostalgic pictures with her fans and followers.
Kim Kardashian Wishes Her ‘Princess Kitty Baby Sis’ a Happy Birthday
To celebrate her half-sister Kylie Jenner’s 29th birthday yesterday, Kim Kardashian posted rare old family photographs on her Instagram account, sharing them with her 344 million followers.
Specifically, the star’s post includes a carousel of three photographs. Two of them feature a young Kylie alongside Kim. The third features Kylie, Kim, and Kendall Jenner (Kim’s half-sister and Kylie’s sister).
Her caption on her post reads, “Happy Birthday my princess kitty baby sis @kyliejenner 🎀 I lovvvveeeeee youuuuuuuuu.”
Kim’s followers loved the pictures and joined in with the birthday wishes. One of her followers commented, “Happy Birthday, gorgeous Kylie! 🎂👑💖 Wishing you endless happiness, love, success, and beautiful moments. Keep shining and being the amazing woman you are! ✨”
Another follower was more simplistic, writing, “Happy Birthday Kylie 🎉🎂🎊🥳🩷.”
Others joked about how much Kylie has changed, with one of them commenting, “Not me scrolling back and forth through the slides tryna find Kylie 🤣.”
Someone else said, “LMAOOO Kim digging up these ancient throwbacks.”
But Kim wasn’t the only Kardashian clan member to wish Kylie a happy birthday on social media. A couple of Kylie’s relatives had posted earlier tributes.
Khloé Kardashian Also Wished Kylie Jenner a Happy Birthday
Kim Kardashian’s sister and Kylie Jenner’s half-sister Khloé Kardashian also took to her Instagram account to send Kylie birthday wishes — and the pictures she chose to include were also of the nostalgic variety.
Her post comprised six photographs that she shared with her 292 million followers. They include three relatively recent ones of Khloé and Kylie together, plus three adorable childhood pictures of Kylie that included one of her riding a new pink Barbie bicycle on an earlier birthday.
She opted for a long caption that included the passage, “Watching you become the woman you are makes me so incredibly proud and emotional. The mother, friend, sister, daughter, businesswoman you are inspires me endlessly. You light up spaces you aren’t even in by the mention of your name. You’re hysterical, gentle, loving, lighthearted, patient and so much fun and yes, obviously the most gorgeous but your heart will forever be the most beautiful thing about you.”
Khloé’s followers also took the opportunity to send their own birthday wishes to Kylie, with one person commenting, “Happy Birthday to the prettiest girl in the world!! 💖👑”
There was also plenty of praise for Khloé’s tribute in the comments section, with one follower writing, “@khloekardashian such beautiful & touching words! 🤍 I always look forward to your beautiful birthday posts for the ones you love 🥺🥰.”
Kylie’s mother also put a birthday tribute to her daughter on social media.
Kris Jenner Paid Tribute to Her ‘Precious Girl’
Kylie Jenner’s mother, Kris Jenner, also posted a lovely birthday tribute to her daughter on her Instagram account.
Kris’ 50.2 million followers were treated to a carousel of no less than 20 photographs. They ranged from pictures of Kylie as a baby to some taken very recently. Numerous members of the Kardashian clan feature in the images.
On her post, Kris wrote, “I am so proud of everything you have created, but I am even more proud of the person you are when nobody else is watching. You are so smart, creative, funny, loving, generous, loyal, and I thank God every day that I get to be your mommy. You’ll always be my little girl… I love you beyond words. Happy birthday my precious girl!!! Mommy 💕🎂💞🙏🏼🥳🎂.
Kris’ mother and Kylie’s grandmother, Mary Jo Campbell, recently passed away. She features in the pictures and one follower referenced that. They commented, “MJ should be here celebrating Kylie’s birthday with her. Very very sad 😢. When I first saw this post I thought about MJ and started getting choked up and then the pictures of Kylie and MJ wrecked me into pieces.”
