Kylie Jenner is setting the record straight about some of the narratives surrounding her life online.
Jenner appeared on the “Better Half” podcast with her longtime friends Stassie Karanikolaou and Victoria Villarroel, who introduced her as their “best friend” and “sister.” The group explained that their friendship stretches back to 2009 and has continued through several different stages of their lives.
During the wide-ranging conversation, Jenner discussed everything from her birthday celebration to her unexpected love of basketball. She also offered a rare look at how closely she manages the public-facing side of her businesses and personal brand.
Kylie Jenner Laughs Off Friendship Rumors
Jenner and her friends addressed online speculation that a falling out had occurred within their group.
Rather than allowing the rumors to create tension, they found the situation amusing. The hosts explained that they began sending each other videos about the supposed falling out and jokingly considered keeping the narrative alive. Eventually, however, they decided the speculation had gone on long enough.
Jenner noted that people online can create a narrative and then allow it to take on a life of its own. Her friend also explained that scheduling conflicts had contributed to the speculation, including missing Jenner’s birthday celebration because of travel plans. The friends later celebrated together.
Their conversation highlighted the longevity of the friendship. Elsewhere in the episode, the group reflected on how naturally their bond developed after spending so much time together during their younger years.
Jenner Reveals She Personally Runs Her Social Media
Jenner also cleared up another misconception when the hosts asked who manages her social media.
“It’s just me,” Jenner said.
Despite overseeing major brands, Jenner explained that she personally handles her social accounts and also works on the Instagram pages for Kylie Cosmetics and Khy. She credited having her mother as her manager from a young age with allowing her to maintain independence rather than having a large team dictate what she posts.
Jenner acknowledged that a trusted team member can occasionally post when she is unavailable, but she remains highly involved. Her friends described her as a perfectionist who notices details as small as image brightness, cropping and how individual posts appear alongside the rest of a brand’s Instagram grid.
Kylie Jenner Shares Her Unexpected Knicks Fandom
The episode also showed a more playful side of Jenner as she discussed becoming an enthusiastic New York Knicks fan.
Jenner said she was never particularly interested in sports until attending her first Knicks game. She became invested enough that, while vacationing in Sardinia, she stayed awake until 7 a.m. to watch a game. Her friends said Jenner becomes fully absorbed while watching and even yells at the television.
That enthusiasm extends to fashion. Jenner revealed she keeps a section of her archive closet dedicated to orange and blue pieces and has collected custom items for future games.
Between correcting rumors and revealing how hands-on she remains with her businesses, Jenner’s podcast appearance offered fans a personal glimpse at the person behind one of social media’s most recognizable names.
