Kylie Jenner was 10 years old when her family rose to fame with their series “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.” Each week, viewers tuned in to watch the crazy antics of America’s newest family.
Onscreen the Kardashians, have their drama and squabbles, but offscreen they’re a close-knit family. And Jenner owes it all to their show.
Kylie Jenner Says She and Her Family Have Gotten Closer Because Of Their Show
GettyIn 2007, the E! network introduced America to the Kardashian family. The series followed the lives of Kris Jenner and her then husband Bruce Jenner, now Caitlyn Jenner, and their blended family.
Kris’s children Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, and Rob Kardashian were the main focus. But Kris and Caitlyn’s young daughters Kendall and Kylie also appeared and proved to be just as wild as their siblings.
One would assume every moment of your family’s life filmed for TV would be troublesome for a teen. Yet, Kylie didn’t have any problem with it.
“They were there one day in the house, and everyone made it seem really normal. So, it felt really natural, I will say,” Kylie revealed during the May 14th episode of “Therapuss podcast.”
Although reality TV has a history of tearing families apart, in the Kardashian and Jenner’s case, it’s made them closer than ever. “I felt like it really kind of brought us all together. It still does today,” she told host Jake Shane.
“And we’re hanging out this Sunday; we’re doing a movie night at my mom’s house. No cameras, but other than that, our schedules and our lives and our kids and everything, it gets to be a lot that filming really brings us and keeps us together because we’re all working together. So, it’s been a blessing. So many fond memories. The beginning was the best.”

GettyAs Kylie and Kendall grew, they began following in the footsteps of their famous older sisters. The Jenner sisters would walk the red carpet with their family and make public appearances.
Kylie recalled one appearance in which the mall was shut down just for the family. Although she and Kendall didn’t realize it at the time, that was just one of the many treatments of being a celebrity.
“When you’re in it and you’re so young, you don’t even realize what’s happening. And then when you are an adult and you look back to it, you’re like, ‘Oh, my God, we were children,” she explained.
“We had no idea this was how crazy this was, right? We were just working and it just was wild.”
Even now as an adult, Kylie still has to deal with some crazy moments, some of which are featured on the family’s new series “The Kardashians.” Cameras continue to document her every move, including becoming a teen mom to the launch of Kylie Cosmetics to her relationship with Timothee Chalamet.
