LISTEN: Kim Kardashian & Kanye West’s Daughter North West Just Dropped Her Debut EP

North West is continuing to follow in her dad Kanye West’s musical footsteps.

On Friday, May 1, the 12-year-old daughter of the rapper and reality TV star Kim Kardashian dropped her debut EP, titled “N0rth4evr.”

Consisting of six tracks clocking in at 2 minutes or less, the EP follows two earlier singles and collaborations with her famous father.

North West’s Musical Style

The EP’s six tracks include, “H0w Sh0uld ! f33l,” “D!e,” “N0rth4evr,” “Th!s t!m3,” “W0ah” and “Aishite (愛して).” In addition to the EP, she also dropped a music video for the title track (above), in which she rocks blue hair, face studs, and spikes.

The songs all lean into the rock and emo sound, with West playing with auto-tune and Japanese influences as she raps over guitar riffs and metal beats.

According to Dazed, she samples several other songs on the EP, including Japanese songwriter Kikuo’s 2015 single “Love Me, Love Me, Love Me”, Meg & Dia’s 2006 song “Monster,” Swedish group Caramell, and even a rock cover of Mumford & Sons’ song “Little Lion Man.”

The lyrics, meanwhile, reference what it’s like to grow up in the spotlight, as the daughter of two incredibly public people.

“Takin’ pics, chain flash like a polaroid (‘Roid) / I got fans everywhere that I can’t avoid (Can’t avoid),” she raps on “W0ah.” “I was born a star, I ain’t ever had a choice (Had a choice) / Gettin’ bread, even though I’m just a kid (Just a kid).”

On “D!e,” she also sings about her personal style.

“Once they on trend, I’m already off it (What?) / I’m a rockstar, you could tell by my closet (Huh?),” she raps. “Who got piercings on their finger? Tell them North West (Yeah) / When I’m out here doin’ press, they get more pressed.”

The event comes ahead of her first solo performing gig at Summer Smash 2026 in Chicago on June 12. North has previously performed with her father, taking the stage with him at a SoFi Stadium show on April 1. The pair performed “Talking” and “Piercing On My Hand.”

How Kim Kardashian Feels About North’s Music

As North was prepping her EP, her mom, Kim Kardashian, opened up about her daughter’s musical ambitions while speaking with Complex.

“She loves producing music and wanted to share it with the world and isn’t afraid if people will like it,” Kardashian said in February 2026.

“She’s like her dad in that if she likes it, that’s enough for her, and she doesn’t really care about outside opinions,” Kardashian added. “I’m proud of her for that, for releasing music, having fun with it, and doing it her own way.”

With the EP out now, Kim has also celebrated its release on her social media pages — sharing links to the EP on Apple Music in her Instagram Stories, as well as encouraging sign-ups for the LA pop-up.
