Sophia Hutchins, who was a close friend and former manager of Caitlyn Jenner, tragically passed away in July at the age of 29 following an ATV accident.
And on Thursday, Sept. 24, TMZ provided a final update on Hutchins’ case, reporting that she did not have any alcohol or drugs in her bloodstream when she passed away.
The medical examiners report, which was obtained by the outlet, detailed how Hutchins “came up clean for alcohol and drugs, with the exception of her initial test for benzodiazepines, an anti-anxiety drug. But further testing determined benzos were not detected in her system.”
Hutchins was driving at a high speed when she rear-ended another vehicle in Malibu before falling 350 feet off a cliff. Her cause of death was listed as “multiple blunt force injuries,” according to the death certificate obtained by TMZ.
The crash was ruled an accident.

In an interview with Fox at the end of August, Jenner opened up about losing her close friend.
“Recently, my good friend Sophia passed away in a tragic accident,” Jenner said. “But for the last seven weeks, I’ve been dealing with death, and it’s so difficult.”
Following her passing, Jenner was spotted with Hutchins’ mother in Malibu, as shown in photos shared by the Daily Mail. TMZ also reported at the time that Jenner invited Amy, who lives out of town, to stay with her in Los Angeles.
Hutchins and Jenner first met in 2015 through hairstylists, and she went on to become the CEO and director of the Caitlyn Jenner Foundation.

During an interview for The Hidden Truth with Jim Breslo in 2018, Hutchins spoke about her relationship with Jenner, stating that they “share a life together,” but it’s not a romantic relationship.
“I would describe our relationship as we’re partners, we’re business partners,” she explained (via PEOPLE). “We’re partners in everything we do, we’re inseparable, we’re business partners, we live together, we share a dog, we share family, we share a life together.”
“We have so much in common; we see the world so similarly and we both are such a good match for each because we challenge each other,” she added. “She challenges me in so many ways, has allowed me to grow in so many ways and I hope I challenge her to grow and I think because we share so many of the same passions and views, it’s just a great match, a great partnership.”
“I see we are two souls that are a fantastic match for one another and I feel that we’re so blessed to have found each other and to be so supportive of one another in everything that we do,” she later explained. “I feel beyond blessed that we’ve been able to keep it going for the time we’ve been able to keep it going. I don’t think of the age difference as anything… for us, it’s not even a factor.”
