Elizabeth Olsen is officially a mom!
The “WandaVision” and “Martha Marcy May Marlene” star and her husband, musician Robbie Arnett, have welcomed their first child, according to Page Six.
The couple were spotted together in Los Angeles on Saturday, with Olsen cradling the infant against her chest in a baby carrier.
Olsen Kept Her Pregnancy Private
The Marvel star wore an all-white outfit and a wide-brimmed sun hat, while also holding another hat over the baby to provide extra protection from the California sun.
Arnett walked alongside his wife as the new parents enjoyed time together with their little one.
News of Olsen’s pregnancy first surfaced in June. The actress had not publicly announced that she was expecting, but she was photographed in Los Angeles wearing a partially unbuttoned shirt that revealed her baby bump.
Olsen and Arnett have long preferred to keep their relationship away from the spotlight. The pair became engaged in 2019 and quietly eloped the following year, before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Olsen Has Been Private With Her Personal Life
Olsen later confirmed the marriage in a 2022 interview with InStyle, questioning why their wedding was considered a secret.
“Why is it a ‘secret?’” Olsen said. “I eloped. You just didn’t know about it.”
Despite keeping many details of her personal life private, Olsen has occasionally opened up about her relationship with Arnett, who is a member of the Los Angeles-based indie band Milo Greene.
The actress has described herself as highly independent but said her relationship with Arnett is different.
“I’m not mysterious,” Olsen told the outlet, while also describing their relationship as “very codependent.”
“I adore him,” she added.
The couple has also embraced a relatively low-key lifestyle away from Hollywood. Olsen previously revealed that they enjoy spending their free time watching movies and television together.
At one point, the pair were watching The Sopranos, though Olsen admitted the acclaimed series was giving her nightmares.
Arnett has even inspired Olsen’s work. While starring in the romantic drama “Eternity” alongside Miles Teller and Callum Turner, the actress acknowledged that the story made her think about her husband.
In the film, Olsen plays Joan, a woman who enters the afterlife at age 90 and faces a major romantic decision. She must choose between spending eternity with her longtime husband, Larry, played by Teller, or Luke, a war hero portrayed by Turner who died years earlier but waited for her.
Olsen has kept quiet about how Joan’s story ultimately ends, but she did joke that her own husband has something in common with Larry.
“Seriously, that’s how [Robbie is] going to go in his old age, just choking on pretzels,” she told InStyle. “You know? Just kind of like mindless bickering and then choking on a pretzel.”
Olsen also spoke with PEOPLE on how the couple prefer to stay in, as she joked she had to make him go to her rent film premiere.
“Oh, yeah, definitely,” Olsen said. “I had to drag him here.”
Now, Olsen and Arnett are entering an entirely new chapter together as parents, with their first public sighting with their baby offering a rare glimpse into their growing family.
