Beyoncé Sparks Stevie Nicks Collab Rumors With Surprise Update

Beyoncé fans are back in detective mode after a new change on her website sparked fresh theories about Act III.

The 35-time Grammy Award winner’s website was recently updated with Destiny’s Child videos and photos on the homepage carousel. Fans later noticed another addition: a GIF from a behind-the-scenes interview featuring Destiny’s Child and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Stevie Nicks.

That detail immediately caught the Beyhive’s attention because Beyoncé’s album trilogy is still waiting on its final chapter. According to TODAY, Beyoncé revealed in 2022 that “RENAISSANCE” was the first album in a trilogy. She later followed it with “COWBOY CARTER,” which served as Act II.

The update added to the frenzy as fans continue to speculate that Act III could lean into rock music. Beyoncé also appears to have removed “COWBOY CARTER” merchandise from her website store, leading some fans to wonder whether the Act II era is making room for whatever comes next.

Beyoncé Fans Think Stevie Nicks Could Point to Act III

Fans began reacting almost immediately after the Nicks clip appeared on Beyoncé’s website.

Several pointed out that the update came as speculation around Act III has been building across social media. Theories about the final album in Beyoncé’s trilogy have largely centered on rock music, especially after “RENAISSANCE” explored dance and house music while “COWBOY CARTER” pulled from country and the Houston-born singer’s Texas roots.

The Stevie Nicks detail only added more fuel to that theory. Nicks, 77, is best known as the longtime Fleetwood Mac singer and a major figure in rock music, making the website update stand out to fans already looking for signs of Beyoncé’s next genre shift.

A fan connected the update directly to the album speculation, writing, “NOT BEYONCÉ ADDING THIS VIDEO OF STEVIE NICKS TO HER WEBSITE OH ACT 3 IS ROCK CONFIRMED GET UPPP😭😭😭”

Others focused on the timing, noting that the “COWBOY CARTER” merchandise appeared to be removed from Beyoncé’s store around the same time.

“Wow, Beyoncé removed the merch from the COWBOY CARTER era, AND posted the behind-the-scenes video of Stevie Nicks with Destiny’s Child on the set of ‘Bootylicious’ on her official website. ACT III is COMING SOON,” another X user wrote.

The Nicks connection dates back to Destiny’s Child’s 2001 hit “Bootylicious,” which sampled the guitar riff from the rocker’s “Edge of Seventeen,” released in 1981.

Nicks also appeared in the “Bootylicious” music video.

Beyoncé Act III Rumors Pick Up

The Nicks update is the latest detail fans have connected to Act III, but it is not the only one.

Speculation around Beyoncé’s next album had already been building after a series of stunning Instagram photos drew attention online. Beyoncé celebrated 10 years since her “Lemonade” album was released with a couple of posts, including a photoshoot in a flowing purple Saint Laurent gown, in reference to the “Hold Up” music video as a tribute, InStyle reported.

The photos appeared to be “very Prince-coded, very ‘Purple Rain,'” TODAY’s Arianna Davis Santana said on “TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle” this week.

The Prince reference added to the belief among some fans that Act III could have a rock-inspired sound.

The other photo shows the “Halo” singer on a beach carrying three lemons in honor of “Lemonade,” but fans were quick to notice there are exactly three lemons, potentially pointing to Act III.

Will Beyoncé Announce Act III at the Met Gala?

The conversation also turned to Beyoncé’s role as a co-chair of the upcoming Met Gala. Some fans had speculated that the event could be tied to the start of the Act III era, but Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones were not convinced the “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM” singer would use the fashion event to promote a new album.

“This is what I think. I know people may disagree. I feel like that’s like proposing at someone’s wedding,” Jones said.

“One hundred percent,” Bush Hager added. “She’s not going to Anna Wintour’s party and saying, ‘Let’s talk about me.'”

Beyoncé’s publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure, also shut down one specific rumor about the album’s rollout. The post claimed that the album was complete, the Met Gala would officially begin the era, a new single would follow, and a summer release was expected.

“This is unequivocally false!!” Noel-Schure wrote on X.

TODAY later reported that a source close to Beyoncé with direct knowledge of the situation confirmed Act III will not be released next week. Beyoncé has not announced a release date for Act III.
