Kelly Osbourne is speaking out against what she describes as relentless online cruelty.
Just hours after attending the 2026 BRIT Awards in Manchester to accept a Lifetime Achievement Award on behalf of her late father, Ozzy Osbourne, Kelly took to Instagram Stories on Sunday, March 1, to address negative commentary circulating on social media.
Kellyโs Powerful Post
โThere is a special kind of cruelty in harming someone who is clearly going through something,โ she wrote. โKicking me while Iโm down, doubting my pain, spreading my struggles as gossip, and turning your back when I need support and love most.โ
She continued by criticizing those who weaponize someoneโs hardship for public commentary. โNone of it proves strength; it only reveals a profound absence of compassion and character,โ Kelly added.
โIโm currently going through the hardest time in my life,โ she shared. โI should not even have to defend myself. But I wonโt sit here and allow myself to be dehumanized in such a way!โ
Her statement came just days after she addressed body-shaming remarks about changes in her appearance, compounding what has already been an emotional period for the 41-year-old.
Prior to her appearance at the BRIT Awards, she shared to her Instagram Stories a screenshot of some of the awful comments she was receiving for her appearance.
โLiterally canโt believe how disgusting some human beings truly are! No one deserves this sort of abuse!โ she wrote at the time.
Honoring Ozzy on Musicโs Biggest Night
Kelly and her mother, Sharon Osbourne, appeared onstage at Manchesterโs Co-op Live to accept the prestigious honor on Ozzyโs behalf.
The moment was both heartfelt and laced with humor.
Sharon began by joking about her husbandโs well-known distaste for speeches.
โI know that Ozzy is looking down on us all right now, and I know what he is thinking,โ she told the audience. โHe hated to make speeches. He hated listening to speeches. Heโd be saying, โHey, missus, shut the [expletive] up!โโ
She then grew more reflective, telling the crowd that although he was no longer physically present, he โleft us one amazing body of work that will never be forgotten by the country that made him.โ
Kelly also addressed the audience, thanking fans for their enduring support.
โThank you for loving my father as much as we do,โ she said before ending with a playful tribute to Ozzyโs beloved Aston Villa F.C.: โUp the Villa and Birmingham forever.โ
