La Toya Jackson graced the red carpet on Monday, April 20, for the “Michael” world premiere at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California.

La Toya was joined by plenty of her Jackson family members, including brothers Marlon Jackson, Jackie Jackson and Jermaine Jackson. Her nephew Prince Jackson attended, as well as Tito Jackson’s sons Taj and TJ Jackson.

While posing for photos, La Toya looked ethereal as she effortlessly made her presence known. The beloved Jackson sister wore a black figure-hugging dress, paired with long black gloves and a gorgeous diamond necklace.

La Toya Jackson’s Honest Opinion About ‘Michael’ Biopic

La Toya took several interviews while on the red carpet. When asked by Variety what she thought when she found out that her brother’s remarkable life story was being turned into a biopic, La Toya responded, “I said, ‘This is wonderful, just make sure it’s true to life,’ and it was great. It was good.”

The 69-year-old also noted her approval of nephew Jafaar Jackson, who played Michael Jackson in the film. “I have to tell you that Jafaar was absolutely fabulous… How we all forget and think that we’re watching Mike… So, he really delivered and did a fabulous job,” she said.

Although she’d like to see a “Michael” sequel, La Toya admitted that it would be up to the producers to decide, adding that she hasn’t been contacted yet about another film.

The “Night Time Lover” singer even shed light on her sister Janet Jackson’s decision to not partake in any of the biopic’s production, saying, “I wish everybody was in the movie. She was asked, and she kindly declined, so you have to respect her wishes.”

La Toya also held an interview for ExtraTV with Derek Hough from “Dancing with the Stars.” When asked how important it is to be able to celebrate her beloved brother and his career, La Toya shared that the moment was purely “magical.”

“Just to see the love and the people that are here for him, it’s so, so magical. And I have to say, he would be so proud and so happy and so honored. So I know he’s looking down on all of us,” she told Hough.

La Toya also admitted to crying three times while watching her brother’s biopic. “Seeing the story of your family in the beginning and my father, just making sure he instilled certain work ethics in them and making sure they did everything perfectly,” she explained. “And when you recall those days, it becomes emotional. And that’s basically what happened.”
