UPDATE: Pink posted an Instagram video and passionately denied reports of a split from husband Carey Hart.
It’s the end of the road for Pink and Carey Hart. The couple has separated after 20 years of marriage, as per a report in People. The couple shares two children, daughter Willow Sage, 14, and son Jameson Moon, 8.
For years, their relationship was seen as one built on resilience and hard-won growth. Pink has never pretended that long-term love is effortless. Pink has always been honest that lasting love takes work. She has spoken openly about the tough talks, the therapy, and the quiet commitment to keep showing up for each other
Pink and Carey Hart’s 20-Year Marriage Reaches a Turning Point
GettyPink, 46, and Hart, 50, first crossed paths at the 2001 Summer X Games in Philadelphia. What began as a spark quickly grew into something deeper, though their path was never simple.
They dated on and off in the early years before Pink proposed in 2005.
The couple married in Costa Rica in January 2006, beginning a life that would unfold both privately and in the public eye.
By 2008, the pressures of marriage led to their first separation. Even then, the respect between them remained.
Hart appeared in Pink’s “So What” music video, a defiant anthem inspired by their split, showing that even heartbreak did not erase their bond.
In the spring of 2009, they chose each other again and called off their divorce.
“We’re rebuilding,” Hart told People at the time. “Sometimes you have to take a couple of steps backwards to move forward.”
Pink Has Spoken Openly About the Work Behind Marriage
Pink has always been honest about what marriage has required of her. She has spoken openly about therapy, personal growth, and the uncomfortable work that comes with staying committed.
In 2021, she invited fans into her home life through the Prime Video documentary “All I Know So Far,” offering an unfiltered look at family, touring, and the balancing act between career and motherhood.
That same year, in a People cover story, she reflected on the emotional realities behind long-term love.
“Long-term relationships are not easy. It is much easier to stay in the solid days and jump from relationship to relationship, because then you don’t have to fix the problems that keep recurring. You have to end up fixing yourself; you can’t fix the other person. So it can be challenging, and there are good days, and there are bad days,” she said.
A Relationship Marked by Independence and Choice
GettyIn 2023, Pink once again reflected on what had held her marriage together for so many years.
“He and I are independent to a fault. That’s probably why we’ve stayed together so long, because we can live completely separately and then be together,” she told People. “We don’t need each other. We choose each other.”
Her words offered a window into a partnership built not on dependency, but on intention. The couple had long been open about counseling and the work required to stay connected through different seasons of life. Now, as they move into a new chapter, their shared priority remains the two children and the family they created together.
Pink took to her Instagram account to deny reports of separation.
