SEE: Rihanna Kindly Stopped for a Photo With Fan at Target 2 Days Before Attack On Her Home

Two days before the terrifying gunfire attack on Rihanna’s home, the Barbadian beauty looked serene while out and about shopping at Target, and even stopped to take a cheery photo with a fan.

The photo was shared by the fan around March 6, and two days later on the afternoon of March 8, the Beverly Hills home the “Umbrella” singer shares with “Problems” rapper A$AP Rocky and their three children was targeted by gunfire from a suspect in a white Tesla. No injuries were reported, but an RV, gate, and exterior walls were struck by bullets.

The fan, Rebel Oflazo, happily captioned the snap, which he shared on Instagram, “Life is lifing and full of surprises!! ✨ Since I moved to LA, I’ve always dreamed about this moment. I still can’t believe I ran into Rihanna at the store last night! The biggest surprise of my life. ❤️ She is so beautiful, so lovely, and so sweet! And she smells incredibly incredible… I can still smell her on my jacket! 🥰🎈” He then tagged the star’s Instagram handle before exclaiming, “What a gift!”

The 38-year-old shared an cute interaction with a young fan named Francesca who interviewed her for E! News at a Puma launch. She gave the little girl some special advice after learning she wants to “become the next Rihanna,” saying, “Aim for the stars. Don’t aim for me. Aim beyond me. You’re gonna be fantastic. I want you guys to always be greater, better, smarter, and change the world.”

She also explained the inspiration behind her kids Puma line, saying, “I have kids younger than your age. And I wanted to have them in my clothes. I wanted to have them in my shoes. Everything that I wear, I enjoy seeing it in miniature sizes. And my kids are so tiny. I wanted to see all you guys in cool shoes. All kids.”


Rihanna Shooting Suspect Appeared to Be Facing Serious Mental Health Struggles Before the Incident

A suspect identified as 35-year-old Ivanna Lisette Ortiz was taken into custody and charge with attempted murder. She fled the scene immediately after the attack, and was discovered by police at the at the Sherman Oaks Galleria shopping centre, about 8 miles from Rihanna’s home, per the BBC. She is an Orlando, Florida resident, per Fox News 13 Tampa.

TMZ says they learned from an attorney for Ortiz’s ex-husband that she was hospitalized under Florida’s Baker Act Law, which allows for up to 72 hours of involuntary detention in a mental health facility, at some point prior to 2023.

In several social media videos posted by Ortiz that have resurfaced after the shooting, she appears confused and fixated on the pop star.
