BEEF Season 2 Arrives on Netflix April 16 — Everything You Need to Know

The three-year wait is almost over.

BEEF Season 2 arrives on Netflix on April 16, and this Emmy-winning anthology returns with a brand new story, an entirely new cast, and the same gripping intensity that made Season 1 one of the most celebrated limited series in recent television history.

Creator Lee Sung Jin and production powerhouse A24 have assembled one of the most anticipated casts of the year. Season 1, starring Ali Wong and Steven Yeun, swept the 2023 Emmys with eight wins, including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series. Both return this time as executive producers, stepping back from the screen to help shape what comes next.

April 16. Eight episodes. All at once.

From the Parking Lot to the Country Club

The new season moves from road rage to manicured greens. Newly engaged couple Ashley Miller (Cailee Spaeny) and Austin Davis (Charles Melton) are lower-level staff at an elite country club when they witness their millennial boss, General Manager Joshua Martín (Oscar Isaac), raising a golf club toward his wife, Lindsay Crane-Martín (Carey Mulligan). One moment changes everything. According to Netflix Tudum, creator Lee Sung Jin drew the season from a real-life experience of overhearing a neighbor’s argument — and observing the vastly different reactions it produced in everyone who heard it.

What follows is a four-way web of favors, coercion, and social chess moves that neither couple can step away from. Both also compete for the approval of Chairwoman Park (Youn Yuh-jung), the club’s billionaire Korean owner, managing her own private situation involving her second husband, Doctor Kim (Song Kang-ho, Oscar winner for Parasite). The supporting cast includes William Fichtner, Seoyeon Jang, and K-pop star BM. All eight episodes of BEEF Season 2 will drop simultaneously at 12 a.m. PT on April 16, each running approximately 30 minutes. The tighter episode count keeps the storytelling focused and the binge experience clean.

What Makes BEEF Season 2 Netflix Worth the Three-Year Wait

Lee Sung Jin returns as showrunner, having won three Emmys in 2023 for writing, directing, and producing. Joining him this season is Finneas O’Connell — Grammy-winning producer and Billie Eilish’s collaborator — who composed all original music. O’Connell shared on social media that he spent the past 12 months in what he called “Beef land,” scoring every scene roughly 100 times throughout the process.

BEEF Season 2 on Netflix arrives with full 2026 Emmy eligibility, with the awards cutoff set at May 31. The cast, creator pedigree, and A24 backing make it one of the early front-runners in this year’s prestige television conversation.

Lee Sung Jin proved once that this exact blend of intensity, vulnerability, and dark comedy works. Doing it again with a completely different cast and conflict is the harder version of the same challenge.
