‘The Roast of Kevin Hart’ Time, Channel & Spoilers

Kevin Hart is officially stepping into the danger zone. While Hart has spent years roasting actors, athletes, and fellow comedians, the superstar comic will now become the target in Netflix’s newest live comedy event, “The Roast of Kevin Hart.”

This roast is expected to be one of the biggest live comedy events of the year. “The Roast of Kevin Hart” will feature celebrity guests, brutal jokes, and plenty of unpredictable moments. Fans are already buzzing about who will be showing up to take some digs at Hart. Check out “The Roast of Kevin Hart” details below in our spoilers.

What Time Does ‘The Roast of Kevin Hart’ Start?

The Roast of Kevin Hart” will begin streaming live on Sunday, May 10, at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.

While most TV roasts have aired on cable networks, this one will stream exclusively on Netflix. That means viewers only need a Netflix subscription to watch the event live.

This Kevin Hart roast is part of Netflix Is a Joke Fest 2026. This comedy festival takes place in Los Angeles, with the roast itself being held at the Kia Forum.

What Channel Is ‘The Roast of Kevin Hart’ On?

We don’t have a traditional TV channel to turn to see the roast. Instead, the comedy special will be streaming exclusively through Netflix.

What does that mean for viewers? They can watch the event live through the Netflix app on smart TVs, streaming devices, gaming consoles, phones, tablets, or directly through the Netflix website.

This isn’t something new for Netflix. The streaming giant has been pushing into live programming over the past few years. They have done so with comedy specials, celebrity roasts, and sporting events.

One of Netflix’s biggest successes was “The Roast of Tom Brady” in 2024. That live roast generated massive social media buzz, and it quickly became a viral sensation.

At that Tom Brady roast, Hart served as the host. Now that his roast is happening, it seems like the perfect opportunity for some revenge.

Shane Gillis Serves as Host

Serving as host of “The Roast of Kevin Hart” will be comedian Shane Gillis. He will bring his edgy style to the live event.

In a weird twist, Netflix has not officially announced the complete lineup of roasters. That lineup is usually what gets people to tune in, so, shockingly, they haven’t released any other names.

In addition to Gillis, “Roastmaster General” himself, Jeff Ross, is expected to be in attendance. Fans are expecting appearances from major comedians, actors, and athletes.

One of those happens to be Dwayne Johnson, who has been friends with Hart for years. Since Hart served as host at Brady’s roast, it’d seem only fair that Brady attended this one also.

I have seen Chelsea Handler post a lot with Kevin recently, and she seemed to hint at it on her podcast this week. I would be surprised if she wasn’t one of the roasters.

Other Kevin Hart Roast Spoilers

These roasts are all about the jokes. How low will the roasters go? Netflix is promoting the comedy event as “raw and ruthless,” so it sounds like not many subjects will be off limits.

While Hart has prerecorded comedy specials already on Netflix, this is different. “The Roast of Kevin Hart” is an event that will air live on the streaming service. That means fans can watch as the jokes unfold in real time without edits.
