Fan-Favorite Game Show Moving to Netflix for New Season

It seems like Netflix is officially jumping into the trivia game. “Pop Culture Jeopardy!” just scored a Season 2 renewal after months of speculation. And yep, it’s switching networks.

The fan-favorite “Jeopardy!” spinoff is saying goodbye to Prime Video and heading straight for Netflix, with new episodes expected to drop sometime in 2026, according to Tudum.

Netflix Is Calling the Shots Now

Let’s be real; “Pop Culture Jeopardy!” has been one of the most fun twists on the classic format in years. Instead of historical dates and world capitals, contestants go head-to-head on celebrity drama, internet trends, movie quotes, and everything that keeps group chats flowing. It’s chaos. It’s culture. It’s perfect.

And now’s the time to get in on it. The show’s currently looking for teams of three on PopCultureJeopardy.com, which means you and your trivia-loving besties could actually end up behind those buzzers next season.

“Pop Culture Jeopardy! captivated an audience with its fun and energetic gameplay, building on the beloved franchise and offering fans an opportunity to test their zeitgeist knowledge. We couldn’t be more thrilled to be partnering with the exemplary team at Netflix to bring more episodes to our passionate and loyal viewers.”

Fans Are Already in Full Freak-Out Mode

The show dropped two teaser posts on Instagram: a “Now Loading…” video and another with those contestant instructions. And fans basically lost their collective minds. Some were a little shocked about the platform change, with one comment reading, “Wait, it’s not going to be on Prime anymore? 😢”

But most of the replies were pure celebration, especially from people begging for Colin Jost to return as host. One fan wrote, “REEEEEAAAALLLLLLYYYYY wanting @colinjost to be back as host! 😍,” and someone replied, “Colin’s in talks to return.” Another said, “I hope Jost returns to host. I thought he was perfect for the pub trivia vibe.” Honestly, it’s hard to disagree.

Then came the flood of excitement. “Yay yay yay!!!!! 😁😁😁” one fan shouted, while another just went for the all-caps route: “YES!!!!!” Others were already prepping to compete, saying things like “Just took the test today! My besties and I are ready!” and “I need to be on!!!”

Between the network switch, the possible Jost comeback, and a whole new batch of questions waiting to trip us up, “Pop Culture Jeopardy!” Season 2 is shaping up to be a serious pop culture showdown. Netflix might’ve just made its smartest move yet; and we can’t wait to see how it all turns out.
