Al Pacino has achieved quite a bit during his career, to say the least. Along with starring in movies like “The Godfather” (1972), “Scent of a Woman” (1992) and “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” (2019) — notice the range of dates when it comes to those films, which shows how successful his lengthy career has been — he’s also won an Oscar, a BAFTA, four Golden Globes, two Primetime Emmy Awards and two Tony Awards.
Now, turning 86 years old, the star is not only still acting, but he’s also still raising a young son.
Al was born in New York City’s East Harlem on April 25, 1940. His parents, Rose and Salvatore Pacino, divorced when he was just two years old. In April 2015, the actor told The Guardian, “My father wasn’t in my life from then. I wanted to be different with my children. I wanted to be responsible to them, so I divide my time between two coasts.”
A few months earlier, in September 2014, he talked to The New Yorker about being a parent, saying, “I’m responsible to them. I’m a part of their life. When I’m not, it’s upsetting to me and to them. So that’s part of the gestalt. And I get a lot from it. It takes you out of yourself.”
The Star Was 84 When He Welcomed Son Roman Into the World
“The 84-year-old actor welcomed a baby boy, Roman Pacino, with his former girlfriend, Noor Alfallah, then 29, in June 2023,” according to People. “The couple, who began dating in April 2022, announced that they were expecting their first child together just weeks before their son’s arrival, though they have since gone their separate ways.”
On August 27, 2023, Noor shared a photo on Instagram that showed her baby boy’s hand holding her finger, and added a message, writing, “My whole heart and the greatest blessing in my life. Roman ❤️”
Following that, on March 5, 2024, Noor posted a sweet photo of herself holding Roman and left a simple heart emoji as the caption.
Al Pacino Has 3 Adult Children
GettyRoman isn’t Al’s only child. The star also has three adult children. “He shares daughter Julie Marie with his ex-girlfriend, acting coach Jan Tarrant,” People notes. “He also shares twins Anton and Olivia with ex Beverly D’Angelo, whom he dated from 1997 to 2003.”
“Julie Marie Pacino, [Al] and Tarrant’s only child together, was born on Oct. 16, 1989, in New York City,” per People. “Just like her father, Julie went into the entertainment industry as an actor and filmmaker.”
“Anton James Pacino is [Al] and D’Angelo’s son, born in Los Angeles on Jan. 25, 2001,” People adds, while also noting that Anton “has a twin sister, Olivia.”
Although Anton seems to live a life away from the cameras, Olivia has an active Instagram account with over 23,000 followers.
And, yes, she does share photos of her famous father. In fact, on his 84th birthday, she posted both new and older pics of herself with her parents, and added a caption, saying, “Happy birthday to my best friend, the person I forever look up to! I’m so lucky to have such an amazing dad. I love you so much 🫶🏼 84🎉”
While People points out that, “[d]espite his fame, the Scarface star keeps his life with his kids largely private,” he did step out on March 12 with his three elder kids for the Los Angeles opening of “I Live Here Now.” The star and his trio of older offspring even posed on the red carpet while seemingly enjoying their time together.
