Social media star Holly Hubert — or Holly H, as many of her fans know her — has offered her followers an update after facing a medical emergency and spending months in a coma.
“British influencer Holly Hubert is on the road to recovery nearly four months after being placed in a medically-induced coma to treat an undisclosed illness,” according to Us Weekly.
“Hubert rose to fame in 2015 when she started posting Vine videos about her life, eventually becoming one of the U.K.’s most followed influencers,” Us notes. “Hubert leveraged her social media following to launch a music career, releasing her debut single, ‘Tokyo,’ in April 2025. Her follow-up song, ‘I Should Run,’ dropped in August 2025.”
However, just months later, in December 2025, she faced a serious health issue.
Holly’s Family Shared a Photo of Her in the Hospital
At the end of last year, “Hubert’s family confirmed … that the social media star was in the hospital,” per Us. “A diagnosis was not immediately shared.”
On December 21, the family posted a photo on Instagram that showed Hubert’s arm as she lay in a hospital bed. They added a message to her fans, writing, “We wanted to share an update with you all that Holly is okay but currently in the hospital being looked after by a brilliant medical team and is currently unable to post anything online as she is needing to take time to heal.”
“We know how much she cares about you all, so we wanted to reassure everyone that she is getting the care that she needs,” the caption continued. “Holly would like to wish you a Happy Christmas, enjoy the time with your family and friends and give each other an extra tight hug. She also wishes you all a happy, healthy 2026 💜”
‘So It Turns Out I’m Not Invincible’
“Hi… I’m alive 💜,” Hubert wrote in the caption of an Instagram post that she shared on Sunday, March 22.
While including a photo of herself in a hospital hallway surrounded by loved ones, she continued, “So it turns out I’m not invincible. In December, I suddenly became critically ill, was rushed into hospital, and placed into a coma. I experienced extreme brain swelling and it was uncertain if I’d wake up again, but I was lucky enough to have a badass doctor and my incredible family by my side 24/7 fighting for me.”
She revealed, “When I woke up, I had to relearn to walk and use my hands again. It’s been the hardest and scariest thing that’s ever happened to me, and I’m so grateful to be here today.”
Noting that she’s “now out of the hospital but still slowly recovering,” she added, “This experience has given me a whole new love for my life, my family, my friends, and the wonderful world we live in. Go do everything that makes you smile. Life is so damn precious 💜✨”
