The Kansas City Chiefs’ preseason closer turned into a sweet family outing for quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his biggest cheerleaders—his wife, Brittany Mahomes, and their two oldest children.
Brittany Mahomes Gets ‘So Excited’ Taking Her Kids to Cheer on Their Dad
As the Chiefs faced the Chicago Bears on Friday, Aug. 22, Brittany, 29, brought daughter Sterling, 4, and son Bronze, 2½, to Arrowhead Stadium to support Patrick, 29, from the sidelines.
On Sunday, Aug. 24, Brittany shared a series of photos to Instagram showing her little ones dressed head-to-toe in red and white, proudly repping their dad’s team colors. “Every year is different with my babies,” she captioned the post. “I get so excited taking them to the first game and seeing how much more they understand and enjoy watching their dad play! This year is gonna be a good one🥹😍🤍.”
The Chiefs may have closed out preseason with a 0-3 record, but most of the starters, including QB1, barely played any snaps.
The Mahomes’ Family Had a Busy Summer
This year has already been full of sporting events and family milestones for the Mahomes crew, which also includes the couple’s youngest daughter, 7-month-old Golden. On Aug. 16, the whole family turned out to cheer on the Kansas City Current, the women’s soccer team that Patrick and Brittany co-founded.
Brittany, a former professional soccer player herself, was spotted on the sidelines kicking a ball back and forth with Sterling, while Bronze and baby Golden wore protective headphones to block out the crowd noise.
Off the field, Brittany has been busy making memories with her three kids. Just days before the Chiefs’ preseason finale, she shared photos from a family trip to the San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld San Diego, and Legoland. “Been busy🤍,” she captioned the Instagram carousel.

The couple also appeared in a teaser for ESPN’s new six-part docuseries “The Kingdom,” where Patrick revealed how perfectly timed Golden’s birth was for his NFL schedule. “Golden was born on January 12th, [and] it worked out perfectly,” Patrick said. “We got to bye week, which Brittany had told me that we needed to get from before the season.”
He even admitted he managed to watch playoff games while Brittany was in labor. “She went into labor after one game, the baby was here before the next game, so I didn’t even miss a playoff game,” Patrick recalled, adding proudly, “Brittany crushed it. She is as locked in as I am as far as football goes.”
The Chiefs kick off their regular season on Sept. 5 against the Los Angeles Chargers in São Paulo, Brazil.
