Bruce Willis’ wife, Emma Heming Willis, shared a series of rare throwback photos on her Instagram story to celebrate their daughter Evelyn’s 12th birthday.
The photos included candid moments from past family outings and special events that highlighted special moments from Evelyn’s early years. The photos also included her sister, Mabel, 14.
Emma Heming Willis Shares Pride Over Daughter’s Milestone Birthday
On Instagram, Emma Heming Willis couldn’t contain her pride for her and Bruce Willis’ daughter, Evelyn. She posted two images to her stories, reflecting on when her almost-teenager was a little girl.
PEOPLE Magazine shared the images. In the first photo, Evelyn and Mabel were photographed during a trip to New York City, where they posed in front of the iconic Flatiron Building. In a second snap, the sisters showed off their close bond.
Heming Willis wrote a sweet message for her daughter in the post. She indirectly mentioned her husband, Bruce Willis, in her comment.
“Our baby is 12 today!” she wrote. Heming Willis didn’t add a separate post to her Instagram page celebrating the milestone.
Evelyn and Mabel Have ‘Adjusted’ to Bruce Willis’ Changing Health Says Emma
In 2025, Emma Heming Willis told The Times of London that the couple’s daughters, Evelyn and Mabel, had “adjusted” to the changes in Bruce Willis’ health. The “Die Hard” star was diagnosed with Frontotemporal dementia, or FTD in November 2022.
“You can see the tenderness of it,” she revealed. “The girls don’t need him to be this or do that. They have really adapted to his disease, and they know how to move around him. It’s beautiful, but it’s hard for them. They miss him.”
Emma Moved Bruce Into His Own Home Down the Street From His Girls to Receive 24 Hour Care
So their daughters had a home they could be kids in, and to ensure that Bruce Willis had the 24-hour, around-the-clock care he required, Emma Heming Willis moved her husband to a home down the block from where they lived before his disease progressed.
Although the arrangement is different from their former living situation, it allows Willis to have an atmosphere of calm and for their young daughters to be able to live freely without disturbing their father’s care team. This living situation allows the girls to see their father whenever they want, and for Heming Willis to focus on raising their young family.
She told Good Morning America, “It was the safest and best decision for Bruce and our two young girls. He has the best care 100 percent of the time.”
Heming Willis said to The Times, “Among the sadness and discomfort, it was the right move — for him, for our girls, for me,” she says. “Ultimately, I could get back to being his wife. And that’s such a gift.”
The family continues to be lifted by the well-wishes and support of Willis’ fans worldwide. The Willis clan includes the actor’s ex-wife, Demi Moore, their adult daughters, Rumer, Tallulah, and Scout, and granddaughter Louetta.
Emma Heming Willis, Evelyn, and Mabel are a huge part of the extended family unit Willis and Moore built after their divorce. They remain closely connected and support one another as a blended family, with Willis at its center, navigating the uncertainty of his disease.
