Hours before she passed away, legendary actress Catherine O’Hara was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance, TMZ reports.
The Los Angeles Fire Department told the outlet that first responders were called to her home in Brentwood just before 5 A.M. on Friday. She was transported to the hospital in “serious condition.”
Page Six further reports that O’Hara suffered from a “brief illness” before her passing.
The news of her passing was confirmed to numerous outlets, including PEOPLE and Variety, by her manager. The CAA also announced the news in a statement, saying, “Prolific multi-award-winning actress, writer and comedian Catherine O’Hara died today at her home in Los Angeles following a brief illness.”

Following news of her passing, tributes began pouring in for the beloved actress, including from Pedro Pascal, who starred alongside her in the second season of HBO’s “The Last of Us.”

Justin Theroux also shared a post on the social media site, which was a picture of a chair with the actresses name.
“🕊️Oh Catherine. You will be so so missed,” he said.
