Catherine Zeta-Jones had a Mother’s Day to remember. The “Wednesday” actress, 56, spent Sunday, May 11, reposting sweet tributes her children had shared in her honor on her Instagram Stories. Zeta-Jones shares daughter Carys, 23, and son Dylan, 25, with her husband of 25 years, Michael Douglas.
The posts were a mix of throwback photos and a genuinely funny video that showed exactly what this close-knit family is made of. Warm. Playful. Completely real.

The first post featured a throwback photo of Zeta-Jones holding Carys as a baby while walking alongside a water feature. Warm, quiet, and completely lovely. Then came the video. See the photos and video here.
Carys shared a clip of herself and her mother jokingly singing along to Michael Jackson’s “Human Nature,” a video Zeta-Jones had originally posted to her Instagram feed back in 2019, with the caption “Why?”
The clip earned thousands of likes at the time, including one from Douglas, 81, and a flood of laughing-emoji comments.
Carys captioned her Mother’s Day repost simply and sweetly. “Best video. Love you, mommy,” she wrote alongside a red heart emoji.
She also shared a second throwback snap on her Instagram Stories showing herself as an infant in her mother’s arms, captioning it: “Mamma’s Day.”
Dylan kept his tribute simple and stylish. The 25-year-old shared a photo of himself alongside the “Chicago” star on his Instagram Stories, the two of them dressed in coordinating all-black outfits. He wrote “Mother’s Day” directly over the image.
It was understated and warm and said everything it needed to.
From Antarctica to Mother’s Day: Inside the Tight-Knit Douglas Family
The Mother’s Day love comes on the heels of a family adventure that had fans talking earlier this year.
Zeta-Jones, Douglas, and their two children traveled to Antarctica together, giving the world a rare and wonderful glimpse of the foursome in full family mode.
Douglas shared a photo of all four of them, dressed in matching red jackets, black trousers, and life vests, seated in a boat amid water and mountain scenery.
“Greetings from Antarctica!” the “Ant-Man” star captioned the post. Dylan also offered his own peek at the trip, revealing that one of the highlights was watching penguins up close.
“Chasing chicks. Still looking for an Imperial Shag,” he wrote, crediting his mother for the photography. Carys was quick to respond in the comments.
“Such a good caption ahaha,” she wrote, followed by a string of bird emojis. Douglas also has an older son, Cameron, 47, from a previous relationship.
Zeta-Jones has always been candid about her approach to raising her children. In a recent interview with “Today”, she summed up her parenting philosophy simply and honestly.
“Sometimes you have to step back and let them just do that in parenting,” she said.
