Chuck Norris has been hospitalized in Hawaii following a sudden medical emergency, according to TMZ.
Sources say the incident occurred within the last 24 hours while the 86-year-old actor was on the island of Kauai.
While details surrounding the situation remain unclear, those familiar with the matter told the outlet that Norris is currently in good spirits.
The unexpected health scare appears to have come on quickly.
Just a day earlier, Norris was reportedly active and going about his usual routine.
In fact, TMZ reported he had been training on the island and even spoke with a friend over the phone, where he was said to be upbeat and joking as usual.
Norris is an American martial artist, actor, and producer who rose to fame after transitioning from a championship karate career to Hollywood.
He became a major action star in the 1980s and later led the hit TV series “Walker, Texas Ranger.”
Norris also created his own martial arts system, Chun Kuk Do, and gained early recognition for his iconic fight scene with Bruce Lee in “Way of the Dragon.”
In recent years, Norris has stepped away from the limelight to live a simpler life.
He Recently Celebrated a Birthday
Norris, best known for his decades-long career in action films and television, recently celebrated his 86th birthday.
To mark the occasion, he shared a video on social media showing him sparring with a trainer — a reminder of the physical discipline and energy he’s maintained well into his later years.
“I don’t age. I level up.I’m 86 today!” Norris wrote on March 10. “Nothing like some playful action on a sunny day to make you feel young. I’m grateful for another year, good health and the chance to keep doing what I love.”
He also thanked his fans for their continuous support.
“Thank you all for being the best fans in the world. Your support through the years has meant more to me than you’ll ever know,” he concluded.
