If Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez fans thought the couple’s wedding era was over, they may be mistaken.
The couple’s intimate wedding ceremony, held in the living room of their home in Portugal on August 11 with just five guests present, has been making headlines. Now, in a conversation with Vogue, the couple has shared the plans for another celebration.
Georgina Plans a Big Wedding
Speaking to Vogue, Georgina spilled beans about what’s next after their intimate wedding. She said, “In the future we will have a big wedding so we can celebrate with family and friends. I want something intimate, with my partner and our children, at home.”
Details about the date, venue and other arrangement remains unclear, but it appears another celebration is definitely in the cards.
The couple also told the magazine they were forgoing honeymoon because they had to head to Riyadh the day after their wedding for the start of Ronaldo’s season with club Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League.
“Every day is a honeymoon,” Cristiano said of his wife, Rodríguez.
Why The Couple Chose Intimate Wedding
For such a high-profile couple, fans might have expected a grand celebration. But contrary to those expectations, the couple chose their living room as the cozy setting for their wedding.
“We’ve chosen to do it in the living room of our house here, where we have breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and where we live the reality of our lives,” Georgina explained.
“In 30 years I want the children to think, ‘Something wonderful happened at this table—the wedding vows of our parents,” she added.
The couple’s children also joined them for the special occasion: twins Eva Maria and Mateo, 9, daughter Alana, 8, daughter Bella, 4, and 16-year-old son Cristiano Jr.,
Interestingly, this wedding also marked the 10th anniversary of the day Ronaldo and Georgina first met at a Gucci store in Madrid.
Georgina Shares Her Vision for Her Dream Wedding
The 32-year-old model also opened up about her childhood vision of her dream wedding. As a little girl she imagined a grand celebration with a huge castle, the biggest carriage, and more. But when the time came, her vision changed.
“When I was a little girl,” she recalled, “I dreamt of the biggest castle, the biggest carriage, the longest dress, a crown full of diamonds. And now I’m saying, ‘No. I want something intimate, with my partner and our children, at home.’ Because castles, houses, islands, horses, cars: We have all of that within reach every day. But something intimate — that’s more unusual for us.”
Reflecting on her intimate wedding, Georgina said it was exactly the way she had imagined it. She was so moved by the moment that she couldn’t hold back her tears.

According to a PageSix report, the outlet estimated the value of Georgina’s bridal jewelry at a staggering $50 million.
The centerpiece was reportedly a Chopard Garden of Kalahari necklace featuring a pendant set with an exceptional D-flawless 50-carat brilliant-cut diamond assembled along with more than 146 carats of smaller stones. The same necklace was reportedly wore by Beyonce at the 2025 Met Gala.
