Oscar-nominated actress Dyan Cannon made a rare public appearance, with photos emerging of her walking in Beverly Hills wearing sunglasses and a bright cable-knit cardigan. Photos obtained by Daily Mail show her exiting her car. The photos have been shared just days after Cannon celebrated her 89th birthday on January 4.

Cannon is celebrated for her work in “Heaven Can Wait” and “Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice,” both of which earned her Oscar nominations for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. She had a brilliant career that spanned decades and is remembered as a talented and beautiful star.
Cannon may not often be photographed by paparazzi, but she does occasionally attend events and posts regularly on social media. On December 13, 2025, she posed for a photo on Instagram alongside her friend Patrick Foley. She looks gorgeous and incredibly youthful. At the time, she was 88.

Also during the Christmas season, Cannon shared a video on Instagram of herself playing the conga drums and sent her followers festive greetings. “Just saying HELLO, my friends… I’m enjoying my congas and on my way to see the #Lakers play I hope you’re all having a wonderful evening filled with LIFE and #LOVE and #JOY,” Cannon captioned the video.
Fans praised the actress. “You r so awesome! Miss seeing you! Happy holiday!!!!” a comment reads. “My name is Dyan- because of you,” another fan wrote.

Getty“It took me a long time to learn how to be happy by myself because I really thought I was incomplete without a man in my life,” she said. “I was raised to think that you marry, you have children, and that’s what makes a happy life. And in my case, it wasn’t. But I’ve learned how to be happy alone. There’s great freedom in that because then you don’t settle for the broken set of dishes. You’re not with somebody just because you’re lonely. You’re not with someone just because you’re afraid to be alone.”
She revealed she was open to dating but also had many friends.
