The day after King shared the filming update, news broke that there’s been a new development in her love life. Court documents revealed that her second husband, investment banker Austin Sosa, filed for divorce on Thursday, January 22. TMZ was among the first to report the new development. The outlet said although they know a divorce filing was submitted, the contents of the documents are not yet available, so they don’t know the exact date King and Sosa tied the knot.
Until the day he filed for divorce, the public did not know the pair was married.

Jaime King’s 2023 Divorce from Kyle Newman Appeared Amicable at the Time
The news of King’s engagement to Sosa came a little over two years after People reported in September 2023 that she had settled her divorce from her first husband, Kyle Newman.
King married Newman, director of films including “Fanboys” and “Barely Lethal,” in 2007. The exes share two sons who are around 10 and 11 years old.
The People report said Newman’s attorney told them, “Kyle and Jaime finally resolved all issues in their divorce yesterday, allowing them to concentrate on being the best parents and co-parents to their two boys. I know that the right thing happened for the children when I see both parents walk out of the courthouse together as friends, sharing a embrace before they part ways.”
The report also said King wrote in an Instagram post at the time, “We have come to a peaceful, loving and harmonious completion of our marriage. As parents loving must prevail.” The post appears to have since been deleted.
