Jessica Alba is opening up about love, relationships and dating in the spotlight while navigating her romance with actor Danny Ramirez.
In a new interview with Elle tied to her Gabriel & Co. jewelry campaign, the actress reflected on how her understanding of love has evolved over the years following her split from ex-husband Cash Warren.
“Over time, I’ve learned to embrace every version of how love can show up,” Alba told the outlet. “Love shows up in so many different ways, and it’s not always grand gestures. Sometimes it’s just holding space.”
The actress also admitted that being in the public eye has changed the way she approaches relationships. Alba said constant cameras and social media attention can make celebrities feel like they are “in the zoo” while out in public.
“You kind of feel like you’re in the zoo when you’re out in the wild,” she said.
Alba explained that social media has become one of the only places where she feels she can somewhat control how her life is portrayed publicly.
“The one thing I’ve been able to do is try and control the narrative as much as possible through my own social media,” Alba shared.
While acknowledging that her posts are “edited and curated,” the actress said it still feels “less chaotic” than allowing strangers or paparazzi to shape the narrative around her personal life.
“You also just can’t care so much about exterior people who don’t know you deeply or care for you deeply,” she added. “You have to take everything with a grain of salt.”
Jessica Alba and Danny Ramirez Continue Heating Up
Alba’s comments come as her relationship with Ramirez continues making headlines.
Earlier this week, TMZ shared photos and video of the couple packing on the PDA during a beach outing in Miami over Memorial Day weekend. The pair were photographed kissing, hugging and embracing while spending time together in the ocean.
According to People, Alba and Ramirez were first linked in July 2025 after they were spotted traveling together from Cancun to Los Angeles. Sources later claimed the pair originally started out as friends before their relationship turned romantic.
Their romance became more public in November 2025 when they attended the Baby2Baby Gala together and later appeared on each other’s social media pages.
People also noted that Alba has occasionally shared small glimpses of their relationship online, including a clip of Ramirez kissing her cheek and a photo of a Valentine’s Day card he gave her earlier this year.
Alba Reflects on Love After Her Divorce

Before dating Ramirez, Alba was married to Cash Warren for nearly 17 years. The former couple met in 2004 while filming “Fantastic Four,” where Warren worked as a director’s assistant.
Alba announced their separation in January 2025, saying they were entering “a new chapter of growth and evolution as individuals.” Their divorce was finalized in February 2026.
The former couple share three children together: daughters Honor and Haven and son Hayes.
Outside of her personal life, Alba continues balancing acting and business ventures. She is set to appear in the upcoming thriller “The Mark” while still maintaining oversight of The Honest Company after stepping away from her day-to-day leadership role in 2024.
For Alba, love now looks a little different than it once did.
“It’s not always a movie or a rom-com,” she told Elle. “Sometimes love is just sitting there when someone’s not feeling well and rubbing their head.”
