The new episode of “Jujutsu Kaisen” drops on Thursday, January 15 at 9 a.m. Pacific/12 p.m. Eastern. The official website for the series has just released a series of preview images giving fans hints of the epic storyline they can expect.

The episode (which will also be listed as Episode 50 on Crunchyroll) will continue the group’s meeting with Tengen, as they seek to find a way to release Gojo from the prison realm.
On the official website, the episode summary (translated by Google from Japanese) reads: “Itadori is overcome with guilt after the mass murder in Shibuya, but after hearing Fushiguro’s words, ‘Save me first,’ he stands up and joins up with Tsukumo and the others hiding out at the technical college. The group heads to the Death Palace to meet Tengen, seeking ‘how to break the seal on Gojo’s Gokumonkyo,’ as well as ‘Kamo Norimichi’s specific goals and future plans.’ As he answers their questions, Tengen begins to tell them about Kamo Norimichi’s real name and the killing spree he orchestrated, known as ‘Shimetsu Kaiyuu,’ a killing spree between those who have been given the curse he orchestrated.”

Tengen’s Voice Actor Is Also the Narrator
If you think Tengen’s voice sounds familiar, it’s because his voice actor is also the narrator of the series.
Yoshiko Sakakibara voices both characters. Their other credits include Once Upon a Witch’s Death (Faust), Zenshu (Bird Director), Lazarus (Millie), The Fire Hunter (Narrator), The Misfit of Demon Academy (Great War Tree Migeronov), The Duke of Death and His Maid (Narrator), Blade Runner: Black Lotus (Josephine Grant), Psycho-Pass (Joshu Kasei), The Great Passage (Kaoru Sasaki), Go! Based on the upcoming titles, some fans on Reddit are guessing that this will be a dialogue-heavy episode, and next week’s episode will be focused on Maki’s story. The synopsis indicates we’ll learn a lot more about The Culling Game and how the rules work this week, along with possible ways to save Gojo.
