Two-time Academy Award-winning actress and filmmaker Jodie Foster has made a rare public appearance with her oldest son, Charlie B. Foster โ and the young man absolutely towered over this mother.
Charlie, 27, joined his mom, 63, on the red carpet for Mariska Hargitay’s Broadway debut in “Every Brilliant Thing” at the iconic Hudson Theatre on New York City’s Broadway on Tuesday, June 2 (per Hello).
Foster was dwarfed by Charlie, whose other parent is “The Silence of the Lambs” star’s former partner, production manager Cydney Bernard, 73.
Charlie was born in 1998. Foster and Bernard had another child, Christopher “Kit” Bernard, in 2001. The couple split in 2008. Foster’s current partner, photographer and director Alexandra Hedison, is now Charlie’s stepmother.
Jodie Foster & Charlie Looked Like the Perfect Mother-Son Duo
GettyJodie Foster and Charlie B. Foster looked the the picture of happiness and the perfect mother-son duo on the “Every Brilliant Thing” red carpet.
The pair were all smiles, as Foster wore an ivory silk shirt, black trousers, and black sandals. Charlie wore a black button-up shirt, a gray blazer, dark-wash blue jeans, and black shoes.
They were last pictured together at a notable event over a year ago, when they attended the 31st Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles, California, in February 2025.
Despite already being an adult, Charlie actually appears to have grown since then, as he didn’t seem to tower over his mother quite as much in photographs from that event.
